A lot of people have been moaning on about Wenger needing to sign us a Centre-Back or a goalkeeper. But Szczesny shows signs of excellence. And as for a CB, we have conceded around the same amount of goals in the league as United (I think it's 1 more). That's not been the problem this season. He'll be cheap in comparison to the others on this list, and since Villa have Bent they might sell him and Carew so Houlier can buy another striker that HE wants. I know he probably wants Gabby as well, but not as much as Bent. ã12m should be enough IMO to get us a Van Persie Partner. Who can you suggest to partner Van Persie? I'm sick of saying this: Hernandez is the worst player in the Premier League, possibly in the world. All he does is stand on the goal line and wait for the ball to hit him and go in. We need either Falcao or Gameiro.
Signing Agbonlahor wouldn't help you, highly over rated! Selling Bendtner to us wouldn't be the end of the World someone like Benzema would suit you perfectly imo.
Uh, I'm looking at the league and how results like Arsenal 0-0 Blackburn, with another striker, would have been different, meaning we would have more points, and thus (potentially) be higher than United.
I'd rather have DJ Campbell after he's just had a terrible car accident and one of his legs amputated.
My realistic dream signing would be Aguero (he is on the transfer market) but I would probably settle for another good quick striker like Nilmar. Hulk is another suggestion but he wouldn't be cheap. Don't want Agbonlahor as he is too similar to Walcott.
You lot are looking at this way too simply. The reason we didn't score at Blackburn is because we tried playing a tippy tappy passing game but didn't have Fabregas in the team. When we pass the ball outside the oppositions box the only player we have that can pick out a killer pass is Fabregas. End of. With him not in the team we need to play much more directly, which we never do. We don't need a new striker, we need Wenger to stop being so stubborn and change his tactics once in a while. If Fab is injured play 442 and buy a real winger.
As a Newcastle fan that has a soft spot for Arsenal, I gotta say that a front 5 of Fabregas, Wilshere, Nasri, Walcott & Van Persie is enough to win the league, I'd say you're missing a world class defensive midfielder and goalkeeper. That with Gibbs replacing Clichy who I think is useless and Vermaelen coming back you should be better next season.
Not another fan who thinks we need a new goalkeeper . Szczesney is good enough. Agree with you about needing another DM though.
