Grainger and Watkins clock up a new olympic record in the heats and are now 22 races unbeaten. Lets hope they make it 23 (especially because Katherine Grainger would probably chuck another silver into the deepest part of Eton Dorney).
Will take something special to stop them taking gold. Rowing looks like providing a real hatful of medals.
On the subject of the Olympics, just read that Yi Shiwen swam the last 50 m of her 400 IM faster than Lochte swam the last 50 m of his. Impressive for a 16 year old girl, but is it wrong that I immediately think 'hmm, wonder what the Chinese are feeding her?'.
Was at the hockey last night, GB won 4-0 which was pretty fun and a good atmosphere with a band and lots of flag waving. Then afterwards it was America vs Germany and I was supporting America. That was also good fun, finished 2-1. Compelling viewing. Loved the Olympic Park though, great atmosphere. Was trying to see how many different nations represented through fans at the Olympic Park. Must have been close to 20 different nations. Not bad considering I wasn't there for that long.
I'm off to the Park on Weds so hoping it say's dry. Just Park tickets but when you take into account the free travel you are virtually getting in for nothing!
Yeah if you're a Londoner. Even still though, it's worth it just for the atmosphere. A day at the Park would be great, especially if it's sunny. They have a big screen as well, so you'll be able to watch stuff! Are they still selling Park tickets? I'd be interested in maybe going again for the entire day maybe.
Hi Lapras yes I think there are still a few available. Keep checking the website I heard they may be releasing extras.
That 4th dive was shocking. The 5th wasn't much better. If they'd been nailed, that would have been a Silver at the very least.
Yeah, they will be gutted. That 4th dive has cost them a medal, possibly even a gold. But hey, if everybody was perfect all the time there would be no point watching sport.
Amazing, the Japanese guy messed up at the end. First time we have got a medal in the mens gym since 1920 something, so i heard. Pure class
See what I mean, I always thought there would be British athletes who steped up in the Olympics. They won because they were basically faultless, and look how they just blitzed the last apparatus when the pressure was on. Although, look out, the Japanese are appealing...
We've had decent individuals before, but to win a medal as a team is a huge achievement. We took the world title recently as well. Well done on the bronze, lads.
