He's talented for sure, but seems to have gone off the radar a bit at Everton then. As has been said, this could just be a bit of mischief off Football Rumours.
I saw him come on for Everton last year and was surprised thought he'd retired from football or something. Getting on a bit for a winger 29/30? but would give us a good bit of experience, reminds me a bit of Henrik Pederson when he came to us if we get him
We should only sign James Macfadden if we also sign Dean Whitehead and play them together. With a midfield of MacFadden and Whitehead, there would be no stopping us.
Have to admit he would be a great player on paper when you look at his ability. Yet his injury record is awful, he has very rarely finished a season at a club. I would be happy to have him aslong as he fits in with the wage structure and we put him through a proper medical, unlike what we did last time we signed a cripple.
Donkey, carrot & stick come to mind..... However on a serious note, if Chester has another good season up to the January window, a prem club(poss top 4) will snap him up !
Played brilliantly twice as I can remember, was not given enough chances with us, will be a good back up for you I think.
I hope he wasn't signed so he can play CB whilst pushing Faye up to CM, although he has played there in the past getting a bit old and slow for that now!
Can't believe i'm going to say this......but do we really need another striker? Proschwitz, McLean, Aluko, Simpson, Fryatt all play up top and with previous financial difficulties we've run into being in part down to a large wage bill, i'd like the comfort of having 2 of those 5 off the wage bill before someone like McFadden signs, he is a very good player and as a result would want this reflected with his wage requests
Maybe their planning on offloading someone. McLean or Simpson.pops to mind. I do think McFadden can also play as a winger though. Could be cover for the wings.
If he can stay fit he'd be superb in the Championship, just concerned at the moment that the Allams may be trying to prove a financial point and without someone like Pearson to provide a counter argument they could find themselves with a big wage bill again which could cause long term issues. We flirted with administration, and with having seen what's happened to Pompey, would not ever want us to go down that route, sometimes being tight with cash is the right thing in football
Oh how it looks like he's puking on Lloyd Sam's head. To be fair Brucey just realised he was playing for TWS, hence the puking.
FFS people moaned about the Allams because they ****ed up. Now people are moaning at Bruce for signing his son and ****ing up in doing so. No one is just moaning for the sake of it. Obviously people have stopped moaning about the Allams because it was ages ago now, you'd also complain if we carried on bringing it up every single day. Great logic that. Football fans are so fickle aren't we? Liking good players and criticising **** ones. Well do you blame him? I'd probably do the same if you made me wear a Leeds kit.
