I think he probably knew he was going to become a father before he bought the house. I doubt it is up for sale as there are no for sale signs and he is still in the process of building a gym to the side of it.

The house doesn't matter he'll get one in Liverpool and keep the one in Swansea no matter what as he will always want a home there. I don't believe its a sign anything can be read into.

I agree with the above comment, having more than one house is nothing to a player that will be earning around 30k a week at liverpool, he could well buy it for his family or for himself when he comes down to stay in Wales, its also a very good time to make investments in the property market. We are forgeting that our players are now earning premier league money(on the bottom pay scale of the premier league though) and having 2-3 properties would be managable for them on that kind of income.

Joe may also decide to rent an apartment in Liverpool and keep his girlfriend/wife back home in the new house with plenty of room for her family to stay and help look after the new born??

All up in the air really isnt it, the longer there is no news the more i think he will be gone..hopefully to Spurs <laugh>

Spurs aren't interested and can't afford him until they sell Modric which looks like it could drag on for quite a while yet. If he does leave it will be to Liverppol as they are the only ones will meet the release clause.

The problem is that rodgers cannot openly bid for our player until one of the big 4 come in isnt it or have i completely lost the plot, especially if spurs arent going to buy him / bid for him already

Well...Liverpool cant afford him either judging by the way they are fannying about ..<laugh>

I think spurs can afford him no problem, Moderic is going so they know the money is coming in <ok>

beppe - it is getting a bit confusing to me aswell fella, there is an agreement in place that liverpool cant sign our players for a year unless they are put on the open market by us.

Even if a top 5 club bids enough to trigger joe allens release clause then surely that would still exclude Liverpool who have a written agreement not to sign our players ?? other clubs may trigger the release clause but that doesnt mean we are putting him on the market, so therefore Liverpool cant have him !

Yes. If £15M is put on the table he's gone. What's the cost of a house when you're on mega-bucks (no pun intended) wages.

Poor old BR,he's gone from hero to zero. His reputation is now in tatters. Who will ever take him seriously again?

What I find so sickening about these managers when they change Clubs, which they are entitled to do,is the speed with which they change their Club ties, and wrap a new scarf around their necks.

    Disingenuos bunch of indidviduals.

Well after watching Joe play yesterday for GB, he was the stand out performer for me. He was intelligent with the use of the ball, played it nice and easy all that I look for in a player.

He was head and shoulder better than Ramsey, even the gooners sitting next to me said what a class player you Joe was and can't fathom out why Wenger wasn't going in for him.

Must say the interplay between Caulker, Joe and Taylor was excellent.

I said before that we should cash in, but on looking what else is around then sorry, we mustn't sell Joe and any price.

Liverpool have plenty of money due to the amount they have already got off the wage bill and that is about to be increased by Aquilani and Carroll going (carroll not certain yet, BBC jumped the gun).

Spurs will not have any money until Modric is gone. I have been told as much from someone involved there. Modric won't be sold for a whie yet and LFC will have already completed the Allen deal even if they were interested.

I'm told anyway that Liverpool is the only club he'd move to rather than stay at Swansea due to an agrrement he had with Rodgers when he left Swansea for Liverpool.

Rodgers may well of been the person whose idea it was for Joe to have a release clause in his contract for all we know. Its very convienient, and gets around the "no LFC bids for Swansea players" issue quite nicely.

Rodgers will be aware of every little detail in Allens contract and knows his agent very well I'm told.

He's a snkae and very manipulative and none of this stuff or what he does is an accident, he knows exactly what he's doing every step of the way. He does the same thing with the way he treats the big journos to keep them onside with his little "off the record" seesions after the cameras and recorders are off.

He is a shrewd sanke, but fair play to him because thats how you have to be to get ahead in football these days. Everyone is out for themselves and will trample over others without a second thought.

For the twenty-twelth time. It is common knowledge in certain circles that the Rodgers clause is a load of rubbish that can't be enforced and even if could Joe's contract clause that Brendan negotiated with him would trump it anyway.

Still can't be ruled out though that Swansea may chance their hand and go down the legal route if they feel like it.

    £15m and he's gone.

Forget about the "Rodgers agreement" it means nothing.

Don`t want to be disrespectful, or pi$$ on your parade. You are giving the impression of being Dai`s apprentice, only less inciteful and not half as funny.

If the release clause says £15 million, then that`s the price. I wonder how we all know about this release clause now. Are`nt they supposed to be, ever so slightly, confidential.

It's suddenly dawned on me that if Joe Allen is worth £15M then that means we have one player who is worth more than the entire Cardiff team combined.

Yes, I reckon Rodgers leaked the details of Joe's contract too and I hope Huw Jenkins has got the legal people on the case.
