Believe it when it happens but if we pay £ 9m for him while Sunderland pay Wolves £12m+ for Fletcher it's a decent bit of business. Would prefer a bunch of players we've never heard of though, think the squad is just about there for this year.
This would make the AJ signing even more puzzling if it happens. £9m is a huge waste of money for him when he isnt guaranteed to start and we wont be able to sell him on.
too expensive to sit on bench. so qpr will use him regularly and we have over 7strikers Cisse etc. qpr will not send all of them to bench. so i think 4-4-2 will be main formation and diifficult to change it if we gets him.
If you paid 9m for him you'd have to play him...I like Defoe just don't see where he would fit in and I prefer Cisse to him.
9m for Defoe is a bargain if Sunderland are paying 10m for Fletcher... Defoe proven goalscorer, definetly building up a top table team at QPR at the moemnt with the aquisitions over the summer... Stan
Anyway, this is probably complete bollocks. As far as I can tell Defoe is on tour with Spuds in the US, so unlikely to be at LR.
Apologies, he flew back after his cousins death. Still find it odd, if, at the height of the mourning, he decides to pop over to Shepherds Bush to sign for us.
Currently we only have defoe and kane as our only two strikers - he isn't having a medical and won't be signing for qpr so you can ignore this rumour.
