It looked a very bad injury to Barnard today. Looks like we he won't play again this season and then there is his court case where he is very likely to be sent down. Could this have been his last game for Saints? I am also very concerned about injuries now. Barnard, Schneiderlin, Chamberlain and Lallana all injured with knocks for Jaidi, Chaplow and Richardson. We desperately need our squad to pull through to the rest of the season. On a positive note, great win today even if the performance wasn't that great. Its all about the results now.
Even if not serious, we are very close to end of season. He's played well enough that NC will want to keep hm unless he goes down for a long time.
I'll try and be positive and say spiderman is back in training,lallana will probs be back against brighton according to adkins,jaidi is hopefully just knackered,he looked it today,chappers was on the bench today and another big plus for me today was connolly,thought he was great when he came on,so if barney is crocked then at least we have him to fall back on.The most important player in my eyes to have back is lallana,he is our creative spark!
Do we really need Chaplow in first choice 11? Dale looked the part today and I can't see Deano being dropped......
Think Dale could do it for us as his passing is good and he seems to know when the short pass is the right one, but he got caught out by the speed of the game today. At least twice, he got caught with the ball because we'd up the pace and he dithered. Still, early days and I thinks he's promising.
