Really knows what he is going to do, everyone is just second guessing, or hoping for what they want. Here's another rundown, but quite a good one from the lads at Roker Report with the history of his signings. ................................................... While we've been delighted with some of the outgoings this summer, it's been a bit of a quiet one with regards to transfers coming in to Sunderland. Some folk are getting a bit itchy about things, even forming theories that there's no money to spend and Ellis Short's pulling the plug and so forth. Personally, I don't believe that for one second, but I wouldn't mind seeing some new faces come into the club some time soon, and I think O'Neill will do that. The reported bid for Steven Fletcher should confirm this, But all we can do is wait, so in the mean time we've decided to look at O'Neill's transfer history, or to the best we can anyway, and see if we can identify any trends in who he'll sign, where they'll come from and how much they're going to cost us. Here it goes... http://www.rokerreport.com/2012/7/3...lls-transfer-history-to-predict-the#storyjump
as you say its just second guessing we don't have a clue who MoN is going to bring in he has been to Feyenoord AND Real Madrid Catilla on a couple of occasions to watch players so is he going the route of bringing a few in from abroad, we will have to wait and see Fletcher will be a good start to kick things off but as for who comes in after who knows, hopefully Olsson for left back but I am pretty sure a LB, CM, W and another CF or two will be arriving over the next 3-4weeks.
What about this lot, mUsh's mob? Malaga's troubled Qatari owners are in talks to sell the club to Albanian oil magnate Rezart Taci, but Santi Carzola will still look to push through his move to Arsenal. Sheikh Abdullah Al Thani bought the club in June 2010 and initially spent heavily with the likes of Ruud van Nistelrooy, Martin Demichelis and Cazorla all arriving on big money. Under Manuel Pellegrini, they finished fourth last season securing a UEFA Champions League berth but financial issues have set in. The club owe around £40million in unpaid wages, transfer fees and taxes and they have been given until 1st August by the Spanish authorities to resolve any outstanding issues. It has now emerged that talks are at a very advanced stage for the sale of Al Thani's stake to multi-millionaire Taci. However, with money needed now it seems Arsenal's reported offer of around £18million will be enough to land Cazorla. Malaga had played down talk that they would need to sell Cazorla, but it now seems the Spain international is intent on leaving the club. Local sources claim that Cazorla and his agent Amadeo Rengel will confirm to the club on Monday their intention to sign for Arsenal.
I got no Idea Comm, and glad of it, but cant see fletcher being the only player in MoNs sights, Can you?
Bit of an enigma is Mr O'Neil, not got a clue what he is planning or who he actually wants, despite mass rumours.....Makes for an interesting wait, one i am happy to do rather than rush in and buy Johnny ****wit just to appease the masses. No mass buying, but a bit of quality, we have enough donkey's, now a thorough breed horse would be nice......Getting one will cost though and running costs are high.
