Before pre-season, I thought he had potential, but he just wasn't quite up to par, and could use a loan.

But he's looked very promising in pre-season. He has some good skills and movement, and wins a **** load of freekicks.

He could be very useful with the amount of games we have.

I really hope Pards makes improving our set plays a priority, because with the amount of free kicks we can win, and with us having Marv, Raylor and maybe Debuchy, who are all great deliverers of the ball, we could really pose a threat with Saylor, and maybe Carroll and/or Douglas.

I can see him being our Euro star along with Amalfitano and possibly Biggi

Maybe not just a Euro star.

If we want to play a conventional right winger, he may well be our best option at the moment.

HBA is clearly better fut if HBA is up front or on left wing, I would rate Sammy above Obertan, and perhaps Marveaux and Raylor. I've been surprised how impressive he's been.

If you can put 10 pounds of uppr body muscle on him, he may be useful as a striker as well

Marv, Raylor, maybe Debuchy, (Don't forget Cabaye, Abeid, Amalifitano, Bigi and Ben Arfa - all aside from Ben Arfa have taken freekicks throughout preseason)

Agree on Sammy though, he still has the physique of a poorly made scarecrow, but he's full of running, full of confidence and full of tricks...Look forward to seeing more of him!

I have to be honest I'm still not fully convinced on the lad. I am hopeful after pre season but I would still question his understanding of the game. We'll see but I could see him being useful away in europe in games where you need to play a counter attacking style. He's a good ball carrier and wins a lot fo free kicks.
