Syd, Give it up mate, Bruce was a **** manager for us and continues to blame us, the fans, or anybody bar himself. I'd rather people didn't bother posting articles about him, but for you to turn it back on our fans every time is a wee bit odd, the man was taking us down. I generally don't disagree with you mate , but jesus, have a think about this. He richly deserved all the critisism, and I was one of the most patient with him.

The weak little piece of **** is still finding new excuses..... Steve Bruce claims his lack of IT skills was given as one of the reasons behind his sacking as manager of Sunderland. The Hull City boss has revealed that a list of factors were highlighted by the club following their decision to part company with him last November. Bruce couldn't believe it when he read that his inability to surf the net or to send regular text messages were outlined as a valid justification for relieving the former Manchester United defender of his duties at the Stadium of Light. His dismissal still clearly wrangles with him, particularly having led the Black Cats to a 10th finish in the Premier League the previous season, and is denies the accusation that he hasn't embraced new technology to aid his managerial career. Bruce said: "One of the observations made was that I wasn't internet friendly, and how can an up-to-date Premier League manager not be internet friendly?" "I would rather pick up a phone than send texts. It was making me out to be a dinosaur. "Everything I put into Sunderland - the scouting networks and all the rest of it - was state of the art. All my support staff at Sunderland and now at Hull are into new technology. "Some people might have thought I was some kind of dumbwit because I don't surf the net and I'm not one for using Twitter. It hasn't done Sir Alex Ferguson any harm not being into Twitter and all these things, has it?" The 51-year-old is convinced the real reason behind his dismissal was the fact that he was born and raised as a fan of Sunderland's arch-rivals Newcastle, and when the going got tough the club's fans used that connection against him. At the time of his sacking, and yes this is only the media, I cant remember if it was a direct quote from Quinn or Short at the time, but they said the reason he was sacked was because of the abuse he got, they didnt think anyone deserved that, and definately didnt deserve it again if we got beat in our next match, so they relieved him of his duties. Fact is though, you cant deny he got a ton of abuse in his last 2-3 matches, and only Short and Quinn and Bruce know why he was actually sacked (unless the above was a direct quote at the time). Personally I believe he would have got us out of the ****e, but its all conjecture now, we will never know one way or the other.
Isnt it time we all put the Steve Bruce stories to bed and move on. He's no longer our manager and has no connection or influence at our club any more, what he says or the media prints is of no interest too me any longer and I think we should all ignore it.
