[h=2]Wednesday, 25 July 2012[/h][h=3]CELTIC'S PLAN TO MAKE RANGERS SURRENDER - Exclusive[/h]

CELTIC are demanding Rangers agree to be stripped of their titles before the Scottish Premier League allow the Scottish Football Association to give them a licence to play.

That is the bottom line in a complex power play which looks as though it is being orchestrated by Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell, who, it was reported, spent two days in London this week with his SPL counterpart Neil Doncaster.

And yet Rangers chief executive Charles Green is claiming he is on the brink of breaking the deadlock to allow the SFA to hand his NewCo membership.

But the structure which must be in place for that to happen is extremely complicated and the SFA need to get the go-ahead from the Scottish Premier League, who must agree to release the Oldco’s registration before that SFA licence can be granted.

My information is the SPL are refusing to do that unless Rangers surrender to them and agree to give up their right of appeal to the SFA should the SPL decide to strip Rangers of league titles won during the EBT years.

Scottish Football Association chief executive Stewart Regan is on record as declaring the SFA could legally play no role in any investigation into the registration of Rangers players with the SPL during the EBT years because it is the SFA which is the court of appeal open to Rangers should the club wish to challenge any SPL sentence.

The SPL then launched their probe and amazingly let loose Celtic’s lawyers, Harper Macleod, on Rangers, with SPL chief executive Neil Doncaster handing them the brief dig the dirt on Rangers.

I revealed this amazing appointment of Harper Macleod at the time it was made and produced evidence of their close ties with Celtic and with Peter Lawwell, lifted straight from the Harper Mcleod web site, on which Lawwell paid homage to the law firm for the sterling work they have done on Celtic’s behalf.

Is it a conicidence that Lawwell testimony to Harper Macleod has now been removed from the Harper Macleod web site?

Too late!

Now the situation is further complicated because the SFA are not believed to have any appetite for taking any similar stripping-of-trophies action with regard to the Scottish Cups won by Rangers during the same period.

It is believed the SPL board members are well aware of this through the link Peter Lawwell has in sharing the SFA boardroom at Hampden with SFA chief executive Stewart Regan and the Parkhead boardroom with Celtic financial director, Eric Riley, who also sits on the Scottish Premier League board.

I did warn it was an extremely complex power play.

But it is growing more and more apparent it is Celtic who are trying to manipulate matters in order that Rangers give up their right of appeal to the SFA against any decision the SPL may make to strip them of titles.

Eyebrows were raised earlier this week when Peter Lawwell was reported to have gone to London with Neil Doncaster for television talks with Sky.

Lawwell has no official role within the SPL structure and had no right to be there.

But many believe it is Celtic chief executive Lawwell who is behind the recent spate of bile spewing from just about everyone inside Parkhead, or who has ever been associated with Celtic, demanding Rangers be stripped of their titles.

The word cheating is repeated over and over and over again by everyone who has, or has had, a connection with Celtic..

Yet there is absolutely no evidence of any on-the-field cheating by Rangers, despite the best efforts of the SPL’s legal firm, Harper Macleod, who are of course also Celtic’s lawyers, to find any.

If Lawwell has been the shadowy figure, if not writing the scripts, then probably pulling the strings, Celtic manager Neil Lennon has been the main man in the spotlight leading the screeching chorus of bitterness demanding the SPL take titles away from Rangers.

And it has even reached the stage that former Celtic captain Tom Boyd, normally someone with little to say for himself, has joined the cacophony of black propaganda.

That Boyd blast stunned most reporters – including me - who have known Boyd for over two decades and interviewed him on dozens of occasions, as Boyd has never before provided controversial material.

The general view in the press pack is that someone was pulling Tom Boyd’s strings.

Others, including midfielder Beram Kayal, plus ex Celtic defender and former German internation defender, Andreas Hinkel, were also singing from the same hymn sheet, in what gives every appearance of being an orchestrated campaign by Celtic to turn up the heat on the SPL.

A campaign which appeared to climax when Lawwell stepped forward himself and, as exclusively revealed by Anthony Haggerty in the Daily Record, was closeted with Neil Doncaster for two days.

Not that many members of the Scottish Premier League appear to need much convincing to turn on Rangers.

The latest addition to the SPL board, Duncan Fraser from Aberdeen, is a man many would be willing to testify has an anti Rangers agenda. While Dundee United’s Stephen Thompson is seen by some as Lawwell’s ally.

And Eric Riley owes his Â£250,000-a-year job as Celtic’s financial director to Lawwell’s patronage. Riley is an extremely well connected mover and shaker, having previously stalked the SFA corridors of power on various of the governing body’s committees before moving to the SPL to make way inside the SFA power structure for his boss Lawwell.

All of these forces are maneuvering against Rangers, against anyone else in a position of power within the SPL and also against the Scottish Football Association.

What it increasingly looks like is that Celtic want to do as much damage as possible to Rangers during this period of the stricken Ibrox club’s vulnerability.

With Peter Lawwell appearing to believe Charles Green will surrender and accept any terms, however unjust and give up any legal right, even if it means the abject surrender of titles, in order to get that SFA licence to play.

For without it, Charles Green’s plan to make money out of Rangers is held up even more. And making money out of Rangers is all Charles Green cares about.

It looks as though Peter Lawwell and Celtic know that.

PETER LAWWELL HIGHJACKS NEIL DONCASTER
DESPERATE men are driven to do desperate things. And Peter Lawwell is a desperate man. (I know who’s desperate and it’s not Peter Lawell)

Which is why, in desperation, he was willing to take the chance of it becoming public that he had highjacked the television talks between the Scottish Premier League and Sky Sports.

And sure enough it did leak and become a major story in the Daily Record. (And we all know the Record is never wrong)

But what was surprising was that other newspapers and other reporters did not pounce on the obvious newsworthy nature of this explosive story and quiz Peter Lawwell on just what he was doing gate crashing the talks. (Maybe because it’s not true? Just a guess)

Or are they all too cowed and too terrified of Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell to do their jobs properly? Apart from the ones who have nothing to fear from Peter Lawwell, as they are firmly and deeply lodged in the Celtic’s supremo’s back pocket, only being allowed out to do their master’s bidding when it pleases him.

They know who they are. I know who they are. In fact, everyone knows who they are.

Shame on them! (Is Campbell Ogilvie one of them?)

And shame on Scottish Premier League chief executive Neil Doncaster too.

Neil Doncaster, despite his lofty job description, is obviously no more than Peter's pawn.

Neil Doncaster looks as though he is no more than another coward who is scared stiff of Peter Lawwell. Neil Doncaster appears to be just another victim of Peter Lawwell's reign of terror in Scottish football. (Reign of terror? What a ****ing dingbat)

Shame on Neil Doncaster for allowing Peter Lawwell to elbow his way in, shove him aside and take control of the SPL telly deal talks with Sky bosses which the Celtic chief executive had no legal right being party to. (So how exactly did Lawell manage this feat, any details?)

Talks which Peter Lawwell used to try to get the best deal possible....for Celtic. (Any evidence? Any confirmation from the high heid yins at SKY for example?)

For, as I remarked, Peter Lawwell is a desperate man. (Yes Leggo, we get it. You’ve said it several times already in the opening two or three lines but repeating it like a broken record (sic) does not make it true)

He is desperate because (Oh ffs) his carefully hatched plan to keep Rangers in the SPL, (And how did this carefully hatched plan work out you simpering moron?) along with the television money their presence means, but only with the sort of points penalties over a number of seasons which would render Rangers unable to compete, backfired.

His wee Celtic cabal inside the SPL – Rod Petrie of Hibs, Stephen Thompson of Dundee United and Duncan Fraser of Aberdeen in particular – careered out of his control and froze Rangers out. (I hate to ask again, but where exactly is Campell Ogilvie involved in all of this?)

Leaving Peter Lawwell facing the prospect of Celtic being in an SPL facing a financial meltdown which could lead to the demise of half a dozen clubs. (Sure you deranged loony, sure)

But even if against the odds they all survive, the SPL is a competition which is uncompetitive and Sky Sports bosses have been poised to pull out in twelve months after having cut the pay-out for the last season of their current contract from Â£13M to nearer Â£6M. (Sources?)

That is why Peter Lawwell was willing to take the low road to London to highjack the SPL-Sky talks, even at the risk of being found out.

His aim was to try and cobble together some sort of short term deal which will allow Sky to show Rangers in the Third Division, while at the same time keeping the huge bulk of that Â£13M for Celtic, with the crumbs going to the rest of the SPL and Rangers.

Lawwell knows that without Sky cash the SPL is a goner. And with it would go Celtic’s chances of being a force in Europe.

No wonder Peter Lawwell is a desperate man.

It is that desperation which has seen Celtic being linked with trying to force their way into the Dutch League, the link coming in the usually well sourced from inside Parkhead, Celtic Quick News web site.(You believe what suits you it’s clear)

And at the same time Peter Lawwell’s desperation drives him to seek new and even more ingenious escape routes to English football for Celtic.

Will we hear more of that soon? It has certainly been a recurring theme from inside Parkhead during Peter Lawwell’s reign of terror in Scottish football.

It was also Peter Lawwell’s desperation which drove him to write an open letter – a begging letter – to Celtic fans pleading with them to buy season tickets for a season which won’t be worth a cuss.

On which subject, in his begging letter Peter Lawwell referred to Celtic DNA, a phrase first used by that grizzled old hack and broadcaster, Hugh Keevins, when he claimed Gordon Strachan’s lack of popularity with the Parkhead hordes, despite winning three-in-a-row, might have had something to do with his lack of Celtic DNA.

Perhaps Peter Lawwell would be good enough to explain if he meant the same as old Hughie did, when he mentioned Celtic DNA. (Why would he bother, you seem to know he did)

Maybe Peter Lawwell could elaborate on just what he defines Celtic DNA as being. (Maybe he should call a Press conference and invite you just so he can clarify it?)

As I said, desperate men are driven to do and even say, desperate things. And Peter Lawwell is a desperate man. (Yes we get it, he’s desperate)

We now know some of the desperate () things Peter Lawwell has said done and been caught out doing. We also see some of the things his increasing desperation has driven him to say and do in public.

Time may even reveal more of Peter Lawwell’s desperate acts.

GREEN BIDS TO FOOL FANS BY PLAYING THE BIGOT CARD

IF Charles Green did not exist it would be hard for any spinner of fictional yarns to invent such a character.

For Charles Green, the oft proven liar, is beyond belief.

But he nothing if not predictable. It is just over a week since I pointed out Charles Green had started to circle his wagons and create a bogey man for Rangers supporters to focus their hate on.

At the time Charles Green settled on an easy target when he picked on Scottish Football Association chief executive Stewart Regan, a man who appears to have a clear agenda against Rangers.

If his clap-happy performance at Brechin, lacking in class and dignity, is anything to go by, he is now taking his tactic to a new low rabble rousing level.

My warning to Rangers fans was that they would be mugs to fall for the same three card trick, the same playing to their prejudices, for a second successive season.

For I pointed out that all Charles Green was doing was the same as Craig Whyte did when he lined up BBC Scotland as another easy target for supporters to hate, thus diverting their attention away from the way he was going about raping Rangers.

The result was that ace conman Craig Whyte got a way with it, with the consequences for Rangers and their fans, being administration, liquidation, demotion to the Third Division, a whopping SFA fine and an 18-month-long transfer embargo.

Perhaps the success of that Craig Whyte ploy was in Charles Green’s mind even before the game at Brechin when he let rip, pressing to nuclear button for Rangers fans by citing bigotry as one of the reasons when the SPL and SFA have come down to so hard on Rangers.

Or perhaps Charles Green’s advisors set him up to say it. After all, Charles Green has the same advisors Craig Whyte had when he unleashed his tirade against BBC Scotland.

Though those same advisors must have been in despair when Charles Green responded to the chant from Rangers fans of "If you hate Stewart Regan clap your hands," by doing just that.

Or perhaps Charles Green is a regular reader here and took his information about the SFA and SPL from this slot.

Though I have to say I cannot ever recall ever claiming, as Charles Green did, that while some of what has happened to Rangers was driven by bigotry, some of it has been driven by jealousy and some it has been driven by all the wrong reasons.

The reason that has never appeared here is simple. It is mumbo jumbo, as much of what spews from Charles Green’s mouth, when he is not telling lies, is.

That bit at the end, for instance, about some of it having been driven by all the wrong reasons, implies that bigotry and jealousy are not all the wrong reasons.

But let’s leave that aside for the moment.

Returning to Charles Green’s increasingly desperate moves to try and get supporters on his side in the week when he is going to launch a plea for them to buy season tickets, his bigoted broadside may have carried more weight had it not been handed on an exclusive plate to arch Rangers hater and rabid Celtic fan, BBC Scotland’s Chris “Scrote” McLaughlin.

BBC Scotland in general is loathed by Rangers supporters, with Chris "Scrote" McLaughlin a particular hate figure.

A wee mistake there Charlie.

Another wee blunder is in Charles Green having taken over a month to be able to pinpoint what every Rangers supporter knows and has been reading about here and talking about everywhere.

Simply, that there are a lot of hateful bigots out there in some of Scotland’s darkest places – Parkhead, Pittodrie, Easter Road and Tannadice in particular – and the evil which festers inside these cesspools has spewed all over Rangers.

Rangers supporters do not need me to tell them that. And they certainly do not need any oft-times proven liar and snake oil salesman such as Charles Green to deliver his dodgy spiel as a prelude to him trying to fill the coffers of the faceless men who own Rangers with the hard earned cash of rank and file Rangers supporters.

Of course Rangers fans want to support their team and Brechin City have been the first to benefit from their diehard support with a full house on Sunday.

But supporting Rangers does not mean they have to buy season tickets and stuff the pockets of Charles Green and those faceless man who own Rangers, with their hard earned dough by buying those season tickets.

What is quite the thing for them to do and also the right thing for them to do, is buy match day tickets on a game-to-game basis.

In fact, there is no requirement for Third Division matches at Ibrox to be all ticket. With crowds of around 25,000 to 30,000 expected, there is no reason why Rangers cannot revert to the old ways of paying at the gate.

Of course that is not Charles Green’s way. No, Charles Green’s way is to try and tempt Rangers supporters to cough up cash in advance so he can prove to the faceless men who own Rangers that there is, after all, a fast buck to be made out of Rangers fans.

Which is why, once again, Charles Green is trying to take those Rangers fans for mugs by playing the bigot card in the hope it can work as well for him as turning on BBC Scotland did for Craig Whyte, who was then able to go about raping Rangers unhindered while supporters turned their attention elsewhere.

Of course, if what worked for Craig Whyte was to work for Charles Green, then some may say he was right in the manner of how he is trying to treat Rangers supporters.

Now, more than ever, Rangers fans must be on their guard. And not just against Stewart Regan, Neil Doncaster, Peter Lawwell, Aberdeen, Dundee United, Hibernian, the Scottish Football Association and the Scottish Premier League.

Rangers supporters must also be on their guard against another enemy. The enemy within.

His name is Charles Green.

Isn't Leggo doing a fine job though - his maniacal mistrust of everything and everyone (other than 'real Rangers' men'), since Murray and then White betrayed them, is magnificent in it's madness. If Newco fans do as he advocates and basically starve the club of funds, it may go bust before too long as well.

A catch 22 situation for Newco fans - if they don't put money into the club it could go bust and if they buy up season tickets and minority shares, when they become available, Ticketus will be laughing and Green, no doubt will take off with his pockets bulging ... leaving the club heading for the wall again. Kindhearted souls, as we are in the Celtic family - what would you advise these long-suffering fans of Oldco and Newco to do?

LAWWELL'S NEW SPL POWER GRAB

WHAT a bunch of deceitful dunces they are at the Scottish Premier League.

There may even be some people who are beginning to suspect them of being outright liars too.

Those people may well believe that, though I could not possibly comment, other than to point out there apprears to be some circumstantial evidence which may give rise to such an allegation.

For instance, a week ago the Daily Record’s Tony Haggerty produced a cracking exclusive which revealed that Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell had gatecrashed the SPL television talks with Sky and spent two days in London with his opposite number at the SPL, Neil Doncaster.

The reaction from Celtic and from the SPL?

Deafening silence!

Until the same pair, Peter Lawwell and Neil Doncaster, were caught having a cuppa together in the Sky lounge at Glasgow airport, prior to boarding a flight for the Capital again.

By the time they touched down, STV had been tipped off and the red faced pair were caught by a camera crew as they made their way towards the airport exit.

The telephone air waves had obviously been busy, because by the time the STV News aired at 6.pm, the SPL had claimed the reason why Peter Lawwell had gate crashed the telly talks was that he had been appointed to a Steering Committee, charged with television negotiations.

Really?

It is certainly suspicious it should take a week for this to be announced, despite the fact that is the length of time the fact of Peter Lawwell’s hitherto unexplained involvement in the SPL TV talks had been in the public domain.

Strange, that! Isn’t it?

But we should have perhaps detected the Peter Lawwell hand at work when the SPL started bullying and blackmailing the honourable members of the Scottish Football League with the threat those clubs would not get their Â£2M-a year annual Settlement Payment if Sky didn’t pay up their last Â£13M of their current contract and agree to sign up for Â£80M for the following five seasons.

Despite the fact the Sky deal was and is based on Rangers being in the SPL.

It was the very worst sort of bullying, the very worst sort of blackmail and the very worst sort of base deceit.

For the Scottish Premier League has survived for half of its existence without the major money which Sky pays and still been able to pay the legally binding Settlement Agreement money to the Scottish Football League clubs.

Does Peter Lawwell not know his history?

Lest he has forgotten, then I am pleased to remind him.

Sky signed a four year deal when the SPL was first formed in 1998. When it ran out in 2002, Sky’s Â£45M offer for another deal was snubbed by the SPL, an astonishing decision which saw Sky walk away, leaving the SPL to have to cobble together a two year deal with BBC Scotland which, comparatively , was worth buttons.

Yet the SPL was still able to pay what it was legally bound to, to the SFL clubs.

Do you remember now, Peter?

A further complication and hit to the finances of SPL clubs at the time came because, as all the live matches were shown on “Cooncil Telly” everyone had access to them, therefore paying customers stayed away and gates fell.

Despite all of these problems there was no wild talk about clubs being unable to make their legally due contribution to the SPL Settlement Agreement to the Scottish Football League clubs.

Sky were also missing for the following five years – 2004 until 2009 – when the now defunct Setanta showed live football , but again at greatly reduced rates, as the SPL continued to pay the price for their ridiculous refusal of Sky’s Â£45M in 2002.

It was only when Setanta went up in smoke that Sky stepped in again to start televising SPL matches at the start of season 2009-2010.

Therefore Sky have been IN for seven years and OUT for seven years.

And during the time Sky have been out, the SFL clubs always got their Settlement Agreement payments – to which they are legally entitled – from the SPL.

But now all that has changed.

Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell has been parachuted into what the SPL call a Steering Committee, just in time for that legally binding Settlement Agreement to be steered towards the rocks, in what looks like an act of deceitful piracy, laced with bullying and blackmail.

Though why SPL chief executive Neil Doncaster believes he needs another Celtic director to help him is anybody’s guess.

After all, Celtic are already represented at the SPL’s top table, where Peter Lawwell’s lackey, Celtic’s Â£250,000-a-year finance director Eric Riley sits beside Neil Doncaster on the SPL Board.

Clearly, however, Neil Doncaster does not believe one man from Celtic sitting around the SPL top table and wielding power is sufficient. And now he has two.

One for each ear.
