And the comments for the video are remarkably ill informed, making cracks about him skiving the Olympics and other ignorant comments that should've been put to bed last week.

Having seen it a few times, I don't know if it was malicious... I think it was incompetent. Not defending him, it's equally bad from a footballing view.

I don't think he tried to stamp on him while at Blackpool, think he was just desperate for the ball and not very careful. Again, incompetent. I suppose the only person that knows is Adam himself.

On Bale's statement, he needs to be a professional and get on with it. If he thinks he's been wronged, he should rise above it, not enter into a petty argument.

Yeah, they all hate Bale so they still think it's his fault somehow. They're just not really defending Adam because they don't like him either.

Thankfully it not as bad looking as the Blackpool one. Hopefully only a few weeks at most?

    Vaughan was the better player.

Adam defensively was the weak link in that midfield and lost possession countless times leading to the side losing gosls. He can't run and so often Blackpool were exposed because of his unwillingness to track back. I don't see how anyone can play Centre midfield in a deep lying playmaker role with no interest in defending. Madness

The tackle doesn't look bad when you compare it to more physical natured ones, yet the tackle made by adam, imo is cowardly and cheap yet Bale unfortunately will just have to get used to this.

All the flair players in the world are targeted and the opposition will use all means possible to stop flair players getting into their groove and running with the ball.

I understand why Bale has spoke out, as he is most likely angry at the thought of his career being plagued by injuries due to cowardly reckless challenges.

Yeah, a couple 'Pool fans I work with despise Adam so it'd make sense.

Hopefully not. I just don't understand the need to lunge from behind like that in a friendly. Nothing's at stake.

Yeah Vaughan was really impressive, think he actually got their POTY award didn't he? But I wouldn't say Adam was a deep lying playmaker though, or at least whenever I saw him play it didn't look like it. Seemed a more attacking midfielder to me but I really can't say I've seen enough to fully back my point so you're probably right.

I find it laughable that Liverpool fans are even defending the embarrassment to their club. I could perhaps understand if you were supporting a club legend like Gerrard or Carragher, but Adam?

To call Bale a pansy, when as a result of the ridiculous tackle he is now carrying an injury, for the second time from Adam, is pathetic. Liverpool FC used to be a great club with great fans. Whilst it still has some brilliant fans, the minority, especially over on the Liverpool board, are really letting their club down.

No, I can see just fine.

Of course you all have to defend your player, it's football... But with Bale there is a doubt. I don't think Adam meant to injure him, I think he was trying to clip his ankles - a professional foul that is extremely common. He's just a **** tackler. Didn't he also go to AVB at half time to apologise for his poor challenge? Doesn't excuse him, but if he hated Bale why would he bother?

We don't dislike Bale because of what's happening with Adam, but because he seems like an arsehole. That's my take of it.

Anyway, here's to Adam getting a 38 match ban!

  16. Your opinion - and had it been a one-off I might have agreed with you, but based on the 'history' I think that provides evidence of intent on the part of Adam. Can't imagine you thought the Blackpool assault just a 'poor challenge'......Short of recreating a scene from 'Misery', Adam can hardly have made it more deliberately intended to injure!!!

Watching that video, it wasn't as malicious as I thought it would be...like the Blackpool one. It was a poor attempt of a tackle...Adam is slow and was never getting the ball because lets face it...he is a **** footballer. What Walker said was not true...he wasn't jealous, he's just ****.

Bale and Walker's choice of insults were a 'bit' cowardly in themselves...personally I would have gone for something like...

"Adam is a slow, fat, buck-toothed, receding hair, over-valued twat". <ok>

I think he's consistently been a bad tackler. He hasn't improved since joining Liverpool, meaning he will continue to make bad challenges. I've seen more malicious challenges from numerous players - Scholes and Lampard for instance used to love taking lumps out of Alonso, because they couldn't touch him otherwise.

This is what a deliberate kick looks like:
