Casillas in goal - Spain win everything
De Gea in goal - Spain out in the first round

    Coincidence?

Nope :D Although they probably would've done better if they actually managed to score a goal.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/olympics/19043635 - Pearce is backing Uruguay to beat his own team and qualify from the groups. There's a difference between taking the pressure off and predicting your own team's failure, Psycho!

All of our Olympians have progressed then, with a goal from Sandro, an assist for Dos Santos and a clean sheet for Caulker.
    Good luck to them.

I see Suarez has come out and complained at the booing he received last night. I booed him from my couch, good on those that did in the stadium. Booing through their National Anthem was a bit rough though.

Suarez also moaned about the anthem being booed:
""I can take the abuse. I don't mind. But I think it was a total lack of respect from the crowd to boo when we were trying to sing our anthem.
"I'm hurt because we lost and we are going home."
"I think they jeer me and they boo me here because they must be scared of facing a player like me. They fear me, but that doesn't affect me."

To quote the BBC: "There was booing during the anthem - but only when Suarez's face appeared on the big screen."

They're not booing you because they fear you, they're booing you because you're an arrogant, nasty, diving twat, who makes racist comments.
He's like a cross between Craig Bellamy and John Terry.

Those drums. Those repetitive drums. On and on and on.

I miss the Ring of fire trumpets.

That goal's been coming for a long time.

he was lucky to get the first penalty in was that Arsenal lad...the second was not a surprise when the keeper gobbled it up......and Inda..its more of a family thing these matches..you wont get no hardcore fans going..there just is not enough rivalry to get that kind of passion stoked up...i quite like the fact that familys feel safe going to these matches..i dont lke any instruments really at matches..just give me some good ol fashioned chanting.

  16. That might make Sturridge realise he's not as good as he thinks he is. Will either make him or finish him........

Why do they try and put a downer showing the cr*ppy Olympic football penalty shoot out?! It's quite ironic we lost on a penalty shoot out although it was nice to watch it not giving a sh*t.
it sounds unpatriotic but I stand by the fact that football shouldn't be in the Olympics. Watching the track and field tonight IS what the Olympics is about, and I cheered for the Arsenal fan Mo Farah!
