Gotta agree. We had the best of the first half, but failed to take our chances. City put us under pressure, took their chances, and once they got ahead they never looked like conceding. Trust the ****ing Italian to be able to defend the 1-0 lead till the end of time. Scholes going off just made the job harder.
When Berbatov missed those 2 obscenely good chances I just had a feeling it was gonna be City's day. Oh well, can't take anything away from them, they're in contention for winning their first trophy in 35 years. They probably just wanted it more.
We made too many mistakes and missed some great chances. Just waiting for the "power sift" bollocks to start coming out now, nevermind that we've played far worse against City before and lost.
Believe me you wont hear that form me, we played ****e against Liverpool last week and today were a totally different side, being a City fan is a fecking roller coaster ride that's for sure.
We didn't take the game serious, and we paid the price. I think a lot of the players have shown tiredness due to the mid-week game, especially Carrick and Evra. The second half was unbearable to watch, we seemed to be always second to the ball and passing was an absolute mess. Also, I'm sure that Scholes is not going to sign an extension this contract after his sending off today. I don't blame him, I thought he had a 50-50 chance to win the ball. It could easily be the other way round. Nonetheless, he is still a legend. One game is not going to change his legendary status. Ultimately, I personally thought the treble was achievable. But, realistically we weren't going to do it this year for obvious reasons. We all know that 1999 was a very special year in our hearts. It will take another miracle to do it again. In all honesty, many of us would be happy if we only won the league this year.
"We didn't take the game serious, and we paid the price." What a load of tosh! Utd tried as hard as City and apart from Nan,i who was awesome in the 1st half, were not able to do the job. 2nd half you simply couldn't live with City and they beat you fair and square. didn't take it serious my arse!
Calm down mate. We dominated the first half, but we were outplayed in the second half. Our errors resulted in a goal, the reason behind this is, we've had a busy schedule over the past few weeks. I can understand that you do not understand, how it feels to be in three major cups.
You need to take your rose tinted spectacles off, i have been listening to talksport most of the morning and your own fans are phoning in to say that it was a nasty tackle and he deserved to walk.
It's funny how Zabaleta made constant reckless tackles during the game, but aren't being mentioned. Scholes made one careless tackle, and received a straight red card for it. In all honesty, Zabaleta made a few challenges which he hadn't put thought into before making them. I can admit that Scholes did the same and his studs were high. But, Zabaleta's had the same intention as Scholes, which was to go for the ball. The referee made the decision to send Scholes off for it, I respect that. As fans we cannot question the referees decisions.
Hizmo If you seriously think Scholes was trying to get the ball then you need to get your eyes checked.
If he had made "constant reckless tackles" he would have been off, the ref had a good game so obviously you are making this up as you go along, your own supporters are phoning TS to say how dumb scholes was and that he meant it, dont bother to argue with this you are beginning to embarrass yourself.
I've seen quite a few people saying the ref had a poor game but as far as I could see he didn't get a single decsion wrong....
I'm not saying he wasn't intending to injure the opposition player. It was a Wembley derby, emotions were running high and I know he wasn't in the correct state of mind.
