Hahahah , what you clenching your fists for Bale you tw@t . Its football , not fighting. What a club .
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/tottenhams-gareth-bale-cried-off-olympics-1163354 No surprise here. The cheating chimp dives his way through every game he plays, feigning injury in an attempt to con the ref and gain unfair advantage. The mug has zero integrity.
Meh. It's only the ****ty team GB. If Wilshere was fit and did the same thing in order to come and join our squad on pre-season, then I would be happy.
Not the point. He is a spud and got caught out lying. That the rest of them do the same has absolutely nothing to do with anything - not in this thread anyway p.s. BDM trying to use this to re-ignite the anti mod sentiment is pathetic. ciao
Funniest thing at the games last night was when they took the piss out of the spuds by playing WHU's song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lECNzSKhhAg Classic
You are right gentlemen, I shouldn't have said that out loud and apologise. Let's just say that fate has a funny way about her at times.
Not sure what Spurs fans have said aside from my friends and people on here but out of those I've found the issue is a combination of Adam's previous, tackling from behind in a friendly, no attempt to play the ball and lack of an apology at the time and afterwards to Bale. There's probably a bit much being made of it but it'd help if Liverpool fans weren't so determined to talk rubbish about it in terms of our board and Bale could've avoiding commenting on it too elsewhere. Bale wasn't clipped on his heel, his grounded foot/ankle was stood on much like Vermaelen's in terms of contact, which as I recall you were less than happy with. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jS3Hcb2Nleo
I feel sorry for Bale, but when we whine about bad tackles we are slagged off so why should the Spuds complain about them? As I have heard many times, "Football is a contact sport"
AVB's right to say that he should apologise and it doesn't surprise me that Bale doesn't want to accept his apology, although I believe he should for the sake of not dragging this out - if he ever does apologise, that is. Adam could've apologised immediately but jogged off and then when Bale was on the ground in pain getting treatment. If he had and Bale had batted it away I wouldn't defend our winger, nor do I think he was right to make those comments. I wouldn't consider the reaction a comparison between the Adam tackles on Bale, more accumulation of the two. Adam's first one was far worse but there is a certain level of comparison you can make, in that both occasions Adam went in more physically than he needed to, was well late, didn't pull out and studded Bale in roughly the same position. The one when Adam was at Blackpool should've been a straight red and in a competitive game, the more recent you could give a yellow for being cynical or for being dangerous but I agree it's not a red card.
I don't think these tackles are acceptable, certainly not in a friendly. Football maybe a contact sport, but the one by Adams was, in a way, worse than the one that Shawcross made on Ramsey. And regular visitors to this board, know my feelings on THAT tackle! Adams had no chance of winning the ball, and was targeting the player. If it was meant to be a professional foul to break up the play, then he didn't need to do it so hard, that it had the potential to injure. No question in my mind it should have been a straight red, and how it didn't even get a yellow is a mystery. I guess because it was pre-season. But I wonder if AVB is going to be told to stop whining by Spurs fans like Wenger always is?
Bale is having a hissy fit for one reason and one reason only. Adam made him fall over in an uncontrolled manner. Quite a shock to the poor young Welshey's system as his falls are always premeditated. Diving monkey
It's not that people are comparing it, it's that he's done it twice. Injuring someone once, during a heated game is one thing, then going for them again in a friendly is just un-necasary. But when you are as limited in ability as he is, I suppose you've gota get you "kicks" from somewhere (please ignore the pun)
