Reports on SSN that Liverpool have agreed £7m fee with Florentina for aqualani.
Noticeable he wasn't even on the bench for yesterday's friendly.

I'll be happy with that if true <ok> I'd have taken £7 so £7 mill we should bite their hand off. Get rid.

would be good for 7 million. We have too many midfielders.

If true that's £2m extra then we would of got from AC Milan if they took the option up on him. It also frees up some wages for new signings.

Would be a shame. Has looked good so far, way better than that liability Adam that's for sure. Also what happened to pacheco and suso last night? Seems odd I hope pacheco stays. A loan would be good for suso but if aqua goes we need suso to stay unless Allen comes in.

I don't think Allen is any better than aqua man, so letting him leave for £7m then spending £15m on allen seems ridiculous.

On paper yes but everyone knows deep down Aquilani will never have the club at heart so he needs to go.

Not quite sure how Aqua seems to get so much slack from some Reds fans...Adam certainly isn't brilliant but at least he plays like he gives a **** (and I'm sure the same would go for JA if he signed). Aqua's done sod all to have gained so much respect from some fans who seem only too happy to slag off plenty of players who actually play week in week out and more importantly put heart and soul into their performances (Spearing springs instantly to mind). I for one will be glad to see the back of him, his moaning arse agent and the endless "will he won't he" saga we get every bloody summer. **** him off and let's move on from the bullshit that goes with him. Get it done LFC <ok>

We'll have made back a fair bit of our money then.

No way we paid much more than the minimum instalments to Roma - the £20M figure was all the bonuses and add ons piled on top of the flat fee.

I was hoping he would stick around but we wont dwell on this. I doubt he was ever going to be first choice for us. Especially if we sign Allen.

Rogers has praised Gerrard, Lucas, Henderson, and Shelvey so much, and Spearings looking pretty good to. Joe Cole could play there to.

I think we can expect a lot of the deadwood to move on quite quickly when the squad returns to Melwood.

Aqua, Eccleston, Adam, possibly Cole and Spearing could be gone.

    guys its all about heart.

aquilani has none. 7mil to me seems the best we can do but i simply don't think its true as it seems TOO GOOD to be true given what ac wanted to give us.

nobody thinks the guy will fight for his place i na team playing in a wet monday night in stoke....

however i don't think we've too many midfielders, rather i am wondering if we've enough good midfielders, hence bid for allen (rumoured)

Im hoping that some of the players who had no involvment yesterday are going to be starters against Gomel..Agger, Pacheco, Suso perhaps as our regulars dont have match fitness yet.

I like Aqua, but prefer players who have Liverpool in their heart and want to win for the club

  14. Nothing smart about this pal, it was always on the cards. As I have said numerous times, I want to be wrong as I think Aquilani is the perfect fit to the way we'll be playing under Rodgers. However, I also don't want anyone at the club that doesn't want to play for the Liverbird on their left nipple <ok>

All of this talk of heart doesn't wash with me. He spoke to the press stating how he wanted to play for us and that we had shipped him out without giving him a chance and making up suggestions about not wanting to settle here.

TBH the guys probably annoyed about being shipped around and not being given a chance. I would be.

I think it would be a mistake to let him go.

That is an assumption - he has publically come out and said the opposite. He just needs a chance and some job security enabling him to focus on his game with us rather than worrying where the hell he will play next season.
