Xavi and Ineista are two all round fantastic players, both make great, nippy, accurate short passes, and that's why they're perfect for the Barca style.

But, IMO, Pirlo is the best passer of the ball in the game.

He probably couldn't match the speed of the Barca game, but put him in the right system, his vision, and ability to pick out a long range pass accurately... it's amazing.

IMO Pirlo is the best passer.

Xavi and Ineista are better alround players, but Pirlo seems to see and execute passes better, if he has the time to do so.

Pirlo is the obvious choice, mooted by 99% of pundits. I'm going to stick my neck out and say Jesus Was a Geordie.

That said, though he didn't have the greatest all around game, I honestly believe Nobby Solano was a world class passer of the ball.

Pirlo the obviously choice? Most people say Xavi from my experience. Then Ineista nearly always pops up after that.

Oh wait, Tash must feel different and special. Yeah, you thought outside the box on this one! We are wrong with our Xavi and Iniesta suggestions ;)

    Alonso, Xavi or Pirlo.

Just because Xavi doesn't always play long balls doesn't mean he can't.

If you watch Barca play he flicks the ball over the top quite often, and I've seen him play beautiful, inch perfect sweeping passing. He just picks the most accurate option and goes for it.

I know mate, I didn't say he couldn't do them, he's an awesome long passer, but I don't think anyone executes a long rage pass like Pirlo does IMO.

I think in terms of long passing that Alonso edges it, but I'm biased, still love the guy.
