We have been in the premier league for 5 years now and have not improved so why?, Man c and Chelsea were in the 2nd division with us and look what they have achieved. It is about spending money, and to fill our stadium we need a big name striker like Van persie, and he will cost big wages. are we still going to saying the same things in 10 years time?. I am 52 now so by the time we achieve anything i should be getting my pension!.
Agree again Monty. There's no way I want us to over stretch and go the way of other teams going to the wall. But buying mediocre players can be just as damaging as over spending! FFS I'm still living on the glory of being there in 73 !!!!!!!
I am a pensioner so need someone to get a move on, time running out. I dont expect a Van Persie and dont mind a Fletcher but expect a big name to excite me, Fletcher does not.
I think we've got to realise that becoming a regular top 10 and challengers for Europe won't happen overnight. MON can't attract a whole host of top class players instantly in one transfer window. It will take time. Have a little patience fella's. I trust MON and Short will look after us.
