Very true. It shows you how stronger our squad is this season. With Smith, Young, Hulse, DJ not going on the Asia tour you would have to think their days are numbered.

Pretty much spot on for me as well - I would change Smith for Bothroyd -Smith can be a good impact sub last 10-15 This still raises the "Barton" question and if Owen H is taken on another midfielder will face the chop......
Zamora, Bothroyd AND Helguson? Not for me. Mackie to be used as a striker, because he is one. I'd drop Bothroyd from that (championship player) unless Helguson can prove fitness. From midfield I'd probably add Barton (or Hargreaves if he signs) and to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if we signed another striker as IMO I don't think Helguson is very good backup.
Would think Barton will not be in the 25 for the first half of the season. If he's loaned to a lower league club, they'll want him for a spell after his ban expires.

Cant see Smith making the 25 let alone the subs bench, not ahead of Derry. Would think if Hargreaves is signed Ephraim might miss out.
Who would you replace Smith with? And Hargreaves isn't going to sign. He's only training with us. I haven't seen a single report saying he is signing.
Very interesting to see that there are a few different selections. Surly Barton can't be in there? Smith and Bothroyd seem to be the ones that nobody is sure on. I'm not a big fan of Bothroyd, he always seems lazy to me and I can't see that changing this season. I think if we were chasing a game I would much prefer to see Smith warming up than Jay.
How do you know Luke Young is leaving ... That's a mystery as everyone assumes he is frozen out What has been confirmed? A falling out? A personal crisis .. Death / divorce Injury ? I am not aware he is going? Young/Hughes may well be at odds no one knows but things can change and I am sure that if Young was available then we would of heard of any interest well before all of the others as he is still a very good defender It's still a mystery that no one really knows about
