How does influences of rival teams affects your own tactics in road cycling ?? I donderstand how team GB couldn't pace the team to keep up with the Ukraine challenge , and if /when they fail its down to the winner being quicker and not about the also rans not helping out . Its not like Cav finished 2nd is it ?!?!
I couldn't understand the obsession with Cavendish anyway would have been nice to see the guy who came second in the Tour have a shot at a medal.
I think it was done out of sympathy because he was the only one out of the cycling squad not to get a medal (of any colour) at the Beijing Olympics. Still sympahty shouldn't come into sport.
