I did mock the North Koreans for their action purely because they wanted to make a political statement. I am sure you are well aware of the tensions between the North & South and this little "tantrum" was a pretty laughable way for the North to display their point of view and/or displeasure. For heavens sake it was an oversight but these can and unfortunately do happen. I just feel it was a massive over reaction for political purposes
Just to throw in a contender for anthem. After its playing during last nights opening ceremony, surely Elgar's Nimrod could be used, certainly for the raising of Flags etc. And then nobody has to sing either.
But if you want pomp, which we do better than anyone else, then have a losten to Elagar's pomp and Cicumstance no 4. I think its better than Land of soap and water.
