Phil Buckingham on Twitter Rochdale 0 hcafc 1. Koren opens the scoring with a shot from 20 yards. Keeper should have kept it out but crisp effort all the same. Earlier: Proschwitz misses open goal
Depends on your definition of an open goal ? Nobody has missed like Denis Law did for Man Urd way back when. He missed from under the bar. Better now than when it really matters. For sure it has not affected his confidence and why should it.? Give the ball to Koren and he will score. He must have signed his contract as his body language is spot on.
Getting match fitness is what's important. The result really doesn't bother me. Although if Koren started and scored it looks likely he'll stay. Good day for Poland at the Olympics, Artur. You got a silver in the shooting didn't you?
1-0 City FT. I expect it'll be the same sort of game against Norwich- giving some of the youngsters a run out. I'm sure they'll step it up against Rotherham in the cup.
Agreed, Mclean looked out of place on the wing, Aluko looks fast and dangerous and could be a handful for the defence
The ***an thing seems to be gathering pace. I always quite liked him, I was one who wanted Brown to play him more rather than cast him aside, but I think this time it could be a bit late. 3 times??? Surely not.
We won't be signing ***an surely, where was he last season ? It has been said were just giving him match fitness and letting him tran with us. But i'd expect Bruce to give match practice,in friendlies to contracted players ?
Has anyone signed for us 3 times (not including loans)? And when people say Hughes they surely dont mean Bryan do they?!?
He was at Bratfud and I was told by a fan of theirs that he was head and shoulders their best player. And Bruce really wouldnt be playing him unless he was thinking of signing him....
Was pretty dull, as you would expect. Korens shot was pretty average just shocking goal-keeping. Mclean and Stewart looked the same as last season, unfortunately. Cooper and Townshend both looked good when they came on, thought Danny East was appaling. Aluko barely touched the ball, made one pass and one decent cross, about all I can remember from him. Proschwitz looked like Crouch to me, not necessarily a bad thing though and can see him causing defenses some problems next season. Thought Hughes was actually quite impressive, calmed the game down and started to dictate the temp, I'd be happy if he got a coaching role at any point. Today made me think even more that we need Koren, give him a 3-year-deal if we have to.
