    Well what can I say

Good workout by the lads and in the second half pools didn't even have a shot but we seriously need some forward players and by that I don't just mean centre forwards I mean players in the Ronaldo/Pedro mould have can create things from the wide positions of the front 3.

We set up 4/3/3 with Connor on the left, noble through the middle and Campbell on the left and I know it's only pre season but from that viewing and watching us last season I think for us to move forward these 3 will be left behind. Campbell carried on missing sitters after missing the goal on more than one occasion from inside 4yards.

Obviously it's pre season and fitness is the main thing along with 7 or 8 players missing but we need.

2 centre forwards who know wer the goal is
2 wide forwards who can create things the wide positions, yes we have McClean but if he gets injured we are knackered

Overall the better side lost, we wer canny, no creativity in the midfield until Richardson went there and nothing in the front 3

MoN has a busy summer ahead of him

Was at the game, we outplayed them I thought as you'd expect and Cattermole bossed midfield.

Bramble was awful, outmuscled for their goal and passing was woeful. Laing in 15 mins probably completed more passes than him. Kilgallon was solid and showed good pace at times which surprised me.

Wickhams first touch looked much improved but he still wasn't winning too much in the air. Noble and Fraizer were ok. Colback wasted on the left, needs to be in the centre.

Wasn't great but I'm not at all worried, without Larsson, McClean and Sess plus any new signings.

I was there and i know it was a friendly - but we were bad. Poor movement and poor passing.

I was one of the 3400 fans what went & I tell you now if we don't buy any new players then we will get relegated & it's as simple as that. Wasted 10 pound on a ticket & petrol money to.

Hope to god we sell Bramble & richardson.

Their keeper played a blinder, only reason we didn't win, people need to calm down with the knee jerk reactions.

I would say if that was the strongest XI we could put out then yes I would agree with you but we had 6 or 7players missing and I expect us to sign that many before the transfer window shuts

Disagree we Richardson, thought he offered us some creativity when moved to the left of the midfield 3 in the second half and solid defensively in the first half at LB, the lad gets unjustified stick IMO

Would sell Bramble and bring Laing into the first team squad as his replacement

Cheers for the details, I couldn't see the game (obviously), I was tracking the stats on Bet365, and it looked as if we sprung to live around the hour mark, we'd had 1 shot to that point, then had a whole bunch after.

It's pre-season, and the team isn't started yet, never mind finished.

My panic button is safe for 10 days.

Think you're going to be pushing it mate.

Reading into the quotes from O'Neil, I have a feeling our business will be done right at the end of August. It doesn't seem anything is imminent and he is talking about transfers talking a lot longer these days.

Yes it was a friendly but we should be beating teams from league 1 with that team. Silver lining is that we were missing our FOUR best players mcclean Sess larsson and New striker.

I had a feeling when i saw the team that we Wouldnt score.

Hope it might kickstart some movement in the transfer market

I was down the Marina last night with Mrs. Sombrero, sat a a table with 15 mackems on one side and 15 on the other. The hour I was there was filled with "We hate Geordies and we hate Geordies", anti NUFC songs and a few about Shearer.

Why do you sing that? Quite a few of your fans will be Geordies?

2 way street mate, but I agree with your sentiments.

At the game, on derby day, I'll join in, but general matches I tend to sit those ones out.

You all know your twats anyway, we don't need to remind you ;)

THEREDHOTMAKEM is right, 10 years on and we (or Ellis short) has not heeded the warning, Babb was the only signing untill the panick buying by reed and look what happened, our defence is the worst since the 1980's, it looks like Bramble etc will next out of the door, we still should have won at Hartlepool. And why are we not spending big?. The dangers are there and i said selling Bent and Kenwyne would lead to disaster.

Don't want to be shot at, but has MoN been told to make the best out of what he has at his disposal?

Are we, as a team (the owners) looking at it that the 3 promoted side's from last season stayed up followed by 2 sides this season that have been out for a few season's and assume that we have a good chance of staying up with what we have. Enough to beat these sides around us?

I hope personally we get 4-5 decent signing's in to make the team/squad that much better.
