<doh> you really must try harder with your 'jokes' <ok>

you might not be suggesting this but i'll run with it anyway as i was thinking about it - london has a population of nearly 8 million but there are lots of clubs in london who are much bigger than qpr. norwich don't have another club within 40 miles and in that is a catchment area is more than 1.5 million people, all we could claim, who could be tapped into as potential norwich fans. i'd say that, in theory, gives us one of the biggest potential fanbases in britain, certainly bigger than qpr could ever hope to get.

Well seeing as a fair contingent of them seem intent on blowing the place up maybe it will be self limiting.

Yawn- Depends how far you want to take this but we are a lot more accessible by rail links etc.

We're in a the early development phase which is cash intensive. The new stadium plans (multi-purpose- hence our CEO Phil Beard man who made 02 arena as succesfful as it is involvement) means we wont have to make signings that are beyond ou clubs means but fortunately and importantly theya are in no way beyond our owners means.

No matter which way you spin it. We are in a great position. I am well aware that we are reliant on our owners but we have no reason to be worried about them inexplicably walking out. Norwich are at great risk of relegation and with your owners reluctance to put their hands in their pockets it would mean you are relaint on another season of overachievement to get back in. Be very hard for you to re-emerge

i'd really like to move on from the QPR/Norwich spat from last season. Warnock has gone and Barton is hopefully on his way too. I really don't know where QPR will end up. It could work great and they finish mid table or they could be less than the sum of their parts. Norwich will survive. I hope Swansea do too.

Ok ok everyone. So there is a difference in the way the two clubs operate. Who gives a sh*t?! Just enjoy the football, have a laugh. All this petty stuff gets very repetitive, very quickly, its not even interesting reading

i'm not spinning anything. i'd suggest you are not in a great position at all. you are still to find somewhere to plant your new ground, you are years away from being anywhere near what you are striving to be, it will take 30+ years to pay off your debts once the ground is built, you'll be totally reliant on your benefactors sticking around to keep progressing... the list is endless. there's showing ambition and then there's getting carried away and that is precisely what qpr fans are doing now. by the way, we are no more at risk of going down than qpr - your new signings are designed to merely take you up to the level we were at last season. in my opinion, other than diakite and hoillet, the majority of your newbies are poor and won't improve you but i wish you well all the same.

meanwhile, our directors have always dug deep. just cos their pockets aren't as deep doesn't somehow mean they are crap owners! they give us everything they have got - if they gave any more the club would be at a financial crossroads - i don't want that. i don't want my club to 'chase the dream' like yours is doing. i want my club to survive in the long haul and not risk everything for a bit of glory.

I think there's a huge difference between Directors who have lived with the club for many, years, live breathe and sleep the club and have been through ups and downs with the club and still plough their money in with cash flushed investor who says "I want to buy a Premier League club", throws a dart at a map and sees it hit West London and says "It's QPR" .....

I'm amazed no-one has picked up on this gem. They won't reach the height's of last seasons campaign, where the finished 11th, but a top ten finish is possible. Correct me if I'm wrong, but finishing higher than the previous season would be surpassing last seasons campaign wouldn't it?

You just don't get it do you money mega money buys success as shown at Man City little but unsustainable cash you have spend on old pros buys little surely you saw that with Warnocks mistakes all you get is a bunch of old pros getting thier retirement package sorted

And you keep going on about the cash these guys are putting in, bet all they have put in is a credit line, I fear for you just look at Pompey none if thier fans ever thought they would end up going bust

Glad to be a fan of little ol Norwich if we go down we will be fine if the likes of you and west sham go down it will be curtains

What a cretinous, malicious, mean spirited comment. Hope you are proud of yourself.

As Carlos has pointed out, our clubs have different approaches. What I don't understand is why you get so upset with us going about things differently to you. You seem collectively personally affronted by clubs, especially London clubs, spending money. It comes over as desperation and an inferiority complex. You could just ignore us and be smug that your club's strategy is designed for you to survive for a thousand years, while the rest of us will be bust by Thursday.

Enjoy the season, I have no idea where you will finish, let's see what happens. Probably beat us though, you usually do.

I'd prefer to look for a 'needle in a haystack' - I'd have more chance of finding that!!! Expensive players on lucrative salaries doesn't make a football team (compare the finishing positions of Norwich and QPR last season if you need any proof!!) <cheers>

The bookies have Norwich going down along with Reading and Saints. I think thats a pretty fair reflection and think Reading are the most likely to stay up out of the 3.

I think we are all desperate for the football to start. Why are we wasting our time reading all this?
