Gilligan, Morgan, Fuller

Fuller not offered contract neither is Morgan.

Gilligan might be but has gone to Sweden to trial with someone.

 

I was just about to post about Fuller, I am gutted he has gone, good luck to him.

 

Shame to hear about Bazza, if it was me I would have offered him a one year deal just so he could prove himself. Especially as he's sounded quite bright in the reports.

 

I think it is not Barry's ability which is the problem. I think the problem is that Martin likes attacking right backs so hopefully that will mean that Jack Evans get more match time.

 

unlucky for fuller not to get a new contract, but martin allen wants more from his full backs this season and expect to see athletic solid and confident players to come in and play there, which to me does not seem like we will see martin and fish come the start of the season playing in those positions !!!

we all know those two areas were two of our main downfall positions and it needs addressing, i expect new players to play those positions come the first game !

 

Dont want to see Jack Evans get more game time, too young and not good enough for first team. Would rather Fish so much more.

 

fish is not the answer and is no better than fuller...infact fuller is a better player than him.
fish will make many errors this coming season should he get the nod...he's an accident waiting to happen !

 

Whats wrong with Evans, I think he's a great and upcoming talent and certainly worth a run in the team. He will only get better with more game time!

 

I really hope Martin is not going to be our left back this season, a red card waiting to happen every game and neither of the right backs fill me with confidence so i really hope we get some new fullbacks in, actually pretty much a a whole new defense!

 

i agree with this. Evans is a decent prospect but not good enough, in my opinion he should be sent out on loan. Fish isnt good enough and fuller is better than fish but fish is better than evans. Need new RB and a couple CBs, martin is ok and i think joe carter is quite good but i would welcome a new lb or move jackman into that role.

 

Evans is better than Fish. They are both players who have a lot to learn but I would not trust Fish.

so what you actually mean to say is that you agree with me, that we need new full backs brought in to the club because the others are an accident waiting to happen

 

I would say we need to prioritise a new left back and centre back or two then maybe another right back but I would be happy enough with Evans there this season.

 

don't think jack evans is anywhere near ready for it full time yet hoadie.

 

I know it is a risk but if we bring in another right back it may stop him making his break, maybe this is just what he needs.

Yeah as long as he isn't one of them injury prone ones we have brought in before like Bruce Inkango and Stanley Oborha or something like that, however it is spelt.

 

I believe Jack Evans is ready and deserves his break. Everyone was on Evans back last season after the Hereford game, the only home game I missed last season, hence it never managed to change my view on him - I always knew there was a positive to be gained from missing a 5-4.
