Play for the full game They haven't looked good, but a victory of this kind should help boost their confidence. No RvP, Giroud, Podolski, Koscielny, Merts and others all missing. They don't really deserve the victory, but it's great they'll get it.

My summary - missed first 15 mins - late coming in. Mannone Jenks - DJ - Verm - Gibbs Santos - Coq- Diaby -Arteta Gervinho - Chamakh Home side played long balls on a dodgy surface cutting up within an Athletics stadium. Arsenal played slow buildup - sometimes lazy. Wenger peered on looking squinty thru' new glasses - maybe he has decided he finally needs to see what goes on the pitch. Diaby trying to force things to happen. Chamakh standing still a lot - but passed sideways for Santos to miss the simplest of chances- hangs head in shame. Home side continue with route 1 - making us look very dodgy in defence. Mannone makes good saves, Verm caught out easily. At 39 mins Santos misses another easy chance - shocking. At 35 mins home side brings on 2 subs. Second min of added time malaysia score with a scorcher into top right corner from way outside penalty area - superb. Oh dear !! 2nd half opens to see lots and lots of red shirts - is this Emirates? Mannone joined by Song, Ryo, Oxo, Walcott, Afobe, Aneke, Eastmond, Yennaris, Miguel, Bartley. 56 mins another great long range shot just wide of right post. mannone had no chance. 58 mins another save from our keeper - we are wobbling at 1-0. But at 60 mins another bad miss from Afobe. Malaysia start bringing on subs every other minute. their #10 Sali is man of Match. 78 mins poor control by Walcott in front of goal, and taken off directly. Eisfeld comes on. 80 mins a long ball wasted by Afobe...84 mins a dazzling solo run by Oxo all alone - except for the 4 then 6 defenders ends poorly. 86 mins Song sends Yennaris away - nice pass to Eisfeld who nets it -1-1. 89 mins Aneke pass from Miguel close in -shot deflects into net 2-1. You couldn't make it up. Malaysia tired - we were disjointed - but saved face for Wenger.
Afobe has obviously been taking finishing lessons off of Chamakh and Gervinho. Thank God we have Podolski and Giroud!

We have been ok, barring the last 5 minutes or so. Defender just went to sleep. Jenkinson is the culprit.
One good thing I have noticed is that we are prepared to shoot from distance in this game. Loads of good efforts, Walcott went really close with one.
Another same old problem is every time we lose the ball, we just get over-run on the counter, there is no good cover at all when we lose the ball leaving our defenders wide exposed. Same Sh!t, different day.
What's the point in a defensive midfielder who cant defend? Im not sure Coqulein is a good idea. oh well at least Oxo is coming on.
