Metro isn't that great to be honest which is surprising as they are a free paper, they don't really need to make up ridiculous to shift papers. Apparently, LFC had reps in London according to Moose from talk Sport (another unreliable source when it comes to non West Ham related stories).

honestly guys i would have written that story if i worked for a free rag designed ot get casual readers to look at adverts.... i mean its all over the internet that rameirez's agent is in london so all you need do is pull out an old link to LFC and there's your gossip to get people in.... what advert ran next to this stuff? Fair to say from the comments that no one thinks this is any truer today than it was yesterday just because it was in the Metro mate would be a good move for us that's all.
