Great news, if you watch the matches on the special Olympic channels you get all the footie but no pundits. All they need to do now is to get rid of J P and Lawro and it would be perfect.

Is it too late to replace Pearce?

Agreed, he looks very sharp. Caulker looks too, against a seemingly very physical Senegalese side. Bodes well for the coming season with Sandro impressing as well

Watched last 20 mins, seems like a typical British team lots of talent but not much direction.
Be lucky to make it out of the group stage after that.

Think that will be Brazil Spurlock only one with a bit of quality with one of ours in it.

1-1. Ramsey gave away the ball after a short corner, Senegal broke and scored.
Controversy about a number of rather physical and cynical tackles from the away side, including one unpunished challenge which probably should've seen Bellamy win a penalty, with his opponent dismissed.
Bit of handbags, not involving the Welshman himself and the left-back spent the rest of the game being booed.

Agreed. Ramsey, actually did well when he came on and he committed the opposition defence by driving at them, something Cleverly did not do. He seemed to enjoy dropping deeper and trying to control the game. Ramsey although very rash with his passes at times, does like to speed up the game so he does offer something different.

cheers PNP......im struggling to get into the Olympics..i do hope GB do well as for replacing Pearce? im not sure there is anything as dense as this bloke so no he cannot be replaced...Perryman i always support underdogs but this once i will be hoping Brazil do it and Sandro comes back brimming with confidence.

I thought it was giggs that gave it away?

none the less he did seem to give the ball away a fair bit in the last 20mins.

Not sure why Pearce thought this guy was captain material over Becks, considering JT lost his captaincy for sleeping with a team mates ex. Or is it only immoral when it's someone else who is famous?

Just another indication how selective and short term memories are these days. Goes for most things in life unfortunately.

Probably! That was the easiest penalty decision to make and the ref bottled it. In general the Senagalese tackling was cynical and they deserved more bookings than they got. Having said that, a draw was a fair result.

It was, not Ramsay. Giggs did a lot of that in the last 15 mins, was probably knackered. Should have been tucked up with his cocoa by then.

I'm just glad Bale's shins weren't in the firing line. Terrible tackles and a poor ref.
