Don't think those two things are mutually exclusive - you should want Shelvey because he is playing well!

The article just seems to have a poor understanding of our squad and players' situations right now.

'Our' style = the style Liverpool are playing. Someone commented on Liverpool's style, not Swansea's. My comment was about Liverpool, not Swansea.

If you want to insult me for my age (which, you know, I can't actually help) then maybe you should stop writing like a child. 'Your'? Really? What age are you then?

There was no insult. Please, stop following me around with your... insights <ok>

Senegal made Stoke look like a church team.

Horrendously dangerous on occasions and how they didn't get 3 sent off is beyond me.

Allen was clattered by a foul struggled on for a few minutes but had to come off.

Shocking foul on Bellamy absolute stonewall penalty, how the hell was it not given ?

But all the speculation is that Allen is only being sold because he's a want away player. No difference.

You are such a joke. If I was your wife I'd be off having an affair with a decent bloke. So be careful. Bad attitudes drive wives away.

I thought that was the whole point - that he does want to go. That's why he has a release clause specifically mentioning Liverpool, and a few others. You don't add clauses like that if you have no intention of leaving.

Spurs are 100% not interested in Joe at £15m. They don't have the money for a start off until Modric is sold which will be God knows win.

Spurs and/or Utd coming in is pure wishful thinking from bitter fans.

Casual, where does any article mention "Joe wanting to leave"? As far as we know, he's putting all talk of a move to the back of his mind, and concentrating on his football. Nobody will know what he wants until he returns from the games.

Most PL players probably have such a clause. If I was a footballer, I know I'd add a clause saying I could talk to Man Utd, City, Chelsea, Arsenal or Liverpool. It oesn't actually mean I want to, or will leave.

"Bitter fans" sums it up. All the criticism is levelled at Rodgers and that's justified for obvious reasons. I've had a pop at him too. But they also heavily criticised him for leaving us for Liverpool in the first place. If that's your view then why not turn on the player then?

Allen deliberately had a top club clause inserted into his contract. Nobody has the guts to have a pop at "our Joe" for being a want-away player yet it was fine to criticise a want away manager. You could say we've nurtured this talent since he was 9. Where's the loyalty? This isn't my view at all but there seems to be one rule for Rodgers and another for Allen.

My view is that managers and players all want a crack at an established 'big' club and good luck to them. Same rules for both. But if a player wants out for whatever reason you have to let them go and maximise the Club's benefit if at all possible. Thankfully that's what HJ will do.

Btw it would be hysterical if he went somewhere other than Liverpool. <laugh>

Wasn't Leroy Lita a decent player once upon a time? Did he play for Portsmouth? Might be mixing him up with Lua Lua.

We're not that desperate for Swansea players... I think <yikes>

He has a clause in his contract saying he can leave if one of 5 clubs make an offer. You don't ask for a clause like that if you have no intention of leaving. Whether he will now is another thing though, and only Joe knows what he wants. But this doesn't look like idle speculation. He's not going to come out and say he wants to leave, as all that will be done in private. So while he hasn't said it, it seems pretty obvious, especially given the clause in his contract.
