I hope they do come across, just so I can 'slap them across the face with a wet fish' (obviously just over this internet forum).

On another note, I can obviously see what they mean, but I think we all know that players will come and go, players want to further their careers and beest of look to them, as long as they remember the days at NUFC and how much these sort of players mean to the fans then I don't think we can really complain.

Also this £15-£20m is bollocks, I for once believe in Mike Ashley to atleast give his word and give us the full £35m.

Don't think Tiote will leave, for a couple of years at least
He supposedly rejected a bid from Chelsea in January

What a thick ****. The old 606 is absolutely dire, like a special school for kids who light fires and torture cats. What a grim, grim place:emoticon-0181-fubar

His spelling is atrocious but what he's saying is right. I suspected all along that Newcastle was just a vehicle for Ashley to trade players in the transfer market and it certainly looks that way.

No doubt this summer will be full of underwhelming signings, with our "interest" in decent players being rejected. Then we'll hear the Glazers' line of "we're not going to spend the money just because its there" when we all know the £80m went on massive interest payments, or in our case, £35m on a Greggs tab and a boob job for Derek.

  8. You believe the same fat **** that is going to take down Shearer's bar? I will be delighted if we get the 35 mil, but the bloke is a crafty ****. He does something nice to take our minds off the next stunt he pulls. Yes it's ok if he puts sports direct **** all over our stadium and take down shearers Bar because he hates wor Alan, aslong as he gives us money..... ( which every owner should do )

When ever he does something that's looks as if it's going to benifit the club, remember he's only doing it because it will somehow benifit him aswell, he doesn't give a **** about NUFC, he just cares about his own wallet. The only reason he ever gives anything is he's afraid of a boycott.

Yes RIP, I do think he will give us the £35m, as I think he knows we need it! Yes he is a crafty little **** but you don't get to become a billionnaire if your not. I do not agree with what he has done in the past, and this Shearers Bar thing could be just nonsense. Also if its taking money out of the club then as much as I love Shearer, it just isn't worth having.

I also agree that yes, he does love his own wallet, but then again I can counter argue and say, who doesn't. You could say Man City or Chelsea owners, but they want success at an exceedingly quick rate.

I don't like Ashley but I am always willing to change opinions on people. I think some of you are unwilling to change your opinion of him, but will change for other people...Joey Barton springs to mind.

Anyways to conclude, I do agree with what you are sort of saying, but I am not going to be blinkered by his past actions for us future ones!

Most the toon board is littered with idiots, then one or two who haven't transferred over here like Warm Pouch, Positively 4th street and the like and then more idiot WUMs than normal.
The WUMs seem to be Spuds fans and Mackems alike - I found it hilarious that one of the Spud fans tries to call someone dim when the basic arts of spelling, punctuation and syntax eludes his own grasp.

  11. Well if he does gives us it, i garuntee there'll be something like a greggs advert on the top of St James' next season, because he does something **** for everything good he does.

Aye I remember Warm Pouch, he was canny. We should get him over here, dunno bout the rest though. Someone posted on here a couple of weeks ago. I can't remember his name but I was sure it was Orb of genius. He didn't post any more after I'd asked him.

I don't think he'll put a Greggs advert as he doesn't own them...yet. However a lonsdale, karrimor, dunlop, everlast or donnay sign I wouldn't be surprised with. O yes and a round of applause to you for having a decent debate!

This. I can't see much of the 35mill being spent and won't be suprised to see Jose, Tiote and possibly Barton leave if someone stumps up enough cash.

It's not up to the owners for who gets sold, it's up to Pardew and I'm optimistic he will keep the key players at the club. Carroll left because he wanted money and is a selfish prick so why else would you decline 30 or 35 million and then accept it an hour later. Ashley is a businessman and yes selling players can give him money but he can gain money by getting this club into europe and winning trophies in years to come.

As a ruse? To make it so late in the transfer window that you have an excuse for not spending it?

I'm still not convinced by it all. Carroll is still a **** because even if the club agreed to sell him he didn't have to agree to go. I've come to think it was the wrong call to sell Carroll, even if he requested a transfer. We saw with Rooney how quickly a player can change his mind, if Carroll was still adamant he wanted to leave, sell him in the summer when we have time to replace him. I think that late in the transfer window, with the league as tight as it is, you reject all bids for all key players regardless of what they say or how much is offered.

Ashley has to prove in the summer that he isn't here to bleed us dry, I'm not holding my breath.

On the talksport interview Hughton said he thinks that Carroll went for the money and huge up-front bonus. I can understand acceptings a £35m offer at that point in the January transfer window, since that kind of money won't/shouldn't be going around this summer due to the financial fair play rules. Of course I would have preferred him to reject the offer and, as you say, keep him until the end of the season and see if he's still a greedy bastard.

Trouble is, if we had of held out till the summer we'd of been lucky to get half of the £35 m we got for him. The bin dippers had the money, needed a new striker and ended up paying a ridiculous amount of money through sheer panic.

It's a shame they didn't get whoever they went after first, apparently Carroll was only target #2.
