the LSA are prob the biggest fan club QPR have. they sent representatives to Alan McDonalds funeral.
mark is eager to help us as he came to Ireland in '85 when we toured here and still has great respect for the Irish fans.
he's the one that's setting up a pub for us over there if we want it.

Belfast, yeah 11 is what I'm after. there's 13 going from here but finglas has his already. I replied to that last email by asking what stand the seats are in? are they together? what are the face value of them?
I'll let you know the response if I get one.

And have I understood your previous e-mails correctly, the Club Ticket Office have done little to assist other than refer you to what seems to be a Ticket Agency? Is that correct?

yes mate that's pretty much how it is. if you want I'll send you on the emails I've received I don't know how to put them up here. just dm me your addy.
I did get a brilliant response on the LSA though from a guy called isleworth ranger who said they should set up a thread for us that if anyone wasn't using their tickets to let us know and we could have them.
    I reckon we'll be alright.

This has been puzzling me lately. Is it an historical thing, is it the size of the ground, is it the lack of a fan base? What is it that QPR do not seem to have a set up/tie in with Supporters' Clubs. I have friends in Belfast who follow Utd, Arsenal, Celtic etc, they join Supporters Groups and they are much more organised with the respective Clubs, regarding ticket allocations. Am I making sense here?

I'd honestly like to get into some sort of formal recognition/arrangement with the Club.
My view is that things have changed radically at the top, we may get a new ground in a few years, what's stopping us
asking for formal recognition and requesting a regular set allocation of tickets, while we're still at Loftus Rd.
It doesn't have to be any more than 5 tickets on a regular basis.
I'd like to get that arrangement in place ready for the future and expand if the demand is there and we're in a new stadium.
Does that make sense or is it a dream? Plus it doesn't address our immediate needs.
I've gone for the Membership again so would be hopeful of a ticket irrespective of what we're trying to do in the background.

it's been suggested on the LSA site we apply for tickets through the viago scheme which would get us official recognition. does anyone know what that is?

isn't it where ST holders sell their seat if they can't make it to the game? (sorry to jump in on your planning thread :bandit:)

OK lads, I have been busy lately so I didn't have time to post details of hotels who replied to my request for a group booking rate. The response I received was quite poor. Some groups like Accor Hotels (Sofitel, Ibis, Novotel etc) Premier Inns and Travelodge didn't respond at all. Most of the prices quoted in Central London were between £120-£150. Personally, I do not want to spend that kind of money for one night. I don't have the time to list all the hotels who replied so I am just going to give details of the hotels who I think might be of interest to us as a group.

The best response I got was from IHG Hotels (Intercontinental, Crowne Plaza Holiday Inns). About 10 of their hotels quoted me rates. Most of the hotels were in Central/West London. The prices range from £289 for Intercontinental Park Lane (that might be one for you Nuts) to the Crowne Plaza Hanger Lane who quoted £65 for a single and £90 for a twin/double including breakfast. The only other serious contender for our business was the Holiday Inn Express North Acton who quoted £90 for a twin room. H.I. Express is a 3 star brand and they include a buffer breakfast which is just ok. They do not do single rooms as such so the price of £90 applies whether the room is occupied by one or two people.

I would like to recommend/suggest that we book the Crowne Plaza Hanger Lane. Yes, it is 4 miles from Loftus Road but is only 4 stops on the central line tube. If we are going to be drinking in the Bush after the game, we will probably all use taxis back to the hotel so it doesn't really matter whether we are 0.4 miles or 4 miles to the hotel.

What do we all think? Nobody is forcing you to book a hotel you don't want to book so if you are not in agreement, just say so.

Provided we are in agreement, I just need to confirm room preferences to them and our total numbers and they will give me a group booking code. We can them all go online to the Crowne Plaza website and book and pay for our own rooms. If you want to do your own thing, feel free to do so without insulting anybody.

    What do you all think?

I thought you had won the Euromillions on Fri, you had gone very quiet.

I know some have difficulties due to the distance from the ground etc.
I personally think its a bargain.
Its looks good quality and its opposite a Tube Stn.
I agree about the taxi bit.

    All in all, I'm in.

So Belfast, your a single room. I'm having a twin for 2 people.

After a belly full of pints it will be a taxi back to the hotel.
