There doesn't seem any system of checking nowadays. Now there's the Joe Allen being English in the programme.

When you read the news websites like BBC it would appear that they use work experience people with nobody reviewing what is done.

South Korea claim the first two world records in the men's archery ranking round. Im Dong-Hyun broke his own individual record for 72 arrows & joined Kim Bubmin & Oh Jin-Heyk to set a new team mark for 216 arrows

I never ever watch opening ceremonies for any sporting event. Just catch the highlights on the news like. But I'm going to sit through this one. I think Danny Boyle should make it a good show.

I don't want to be the negative guy but this seems like a typical American has written it based on their stereotypes of us. We don't really all just dance about merrily in suits and bowler hats and play cricket, but this is hardly going to help combat the stereotype is it?

I thought that, but watching it makes perfect sense. A brief journey through British history. The greatest nation on Earth.

Anyone else find it really irritating that all the announcements are made over the tannoy in French as well as English? It should either be all 204 countries' respective languages or just English. Who really gives a **** about French apart from the bloody French?

    Still a load of balls.

Enjoyed Rowan Atkinson's bit there - call me childish but he always makes me laugh.
