Would rather we kept this side together and add one/two decent players to see if the team can step up a level. I fear one will be sold to fund any spending. If I could chose that one it would be ki, not kayal or wanyama.
I agree. Ki Sung-Yueng would be the only player I'd let go from our regular first team - definitely neither of the other two you mention. The team is young and needs to be developed rather than selling those who look most promising.
I understand what you're saying ok but I'd give this team another year or maybe two, just to see if they if they are capable of doing anything in Europe. If we keep moving players on too soon we'll never know just what their capabilities are in Celtic shirts and there certainly won't be much chance of achieving anything in Europe -not even making some money by getting through the first rounds.
Kayal is coming into the last 2 years of his contract I think Leaving it to the last year before selling is risky if you want a decent return If you can get a longer contract signed ok keep him but otherwise cash in Same for anyone else I actually think this is Pontius Peters (Rangers, I wash my hands of you) plan Let's remember, for all the really good to good players we have had, how many have we sold on for a decent profit? I struggling to think of anyone but McGeady
Didn't he sign a new 5 year deal last autumn, which had the undesired effect of pissing off Hooper who demanded a new deal for himself?
Kayal signed a new deal last year he still has 3 years. We could get another year out of him and still make more than Southampton can offer. Plus he's better than Southampton, Norwich and them my first picks for the drop.
From the Celtic midfiled - ONLY IF SOMEONE HAS TO BE SOLD - I rather see Ki sold for a profit ... I rate Kayal and Victor much higher than Ki with Ledley the gem of the midfielders! Broony's Broony ...
We may drop but at least we are there on merit. You embarrass yourselves by really believing you are a great club. You get the chance to disgrace the Champions League once a year as the SPL is so so poor (league 1 standard). Without the mighty Gers the SPL will be even more of a joke. Any player worth there salt will want to test themselves and the SPL is not the way. We got Steven Davis anyway(sorry Rangers) and he is far superior and proven at PL level already. As i say, we may drop ( we wont) but if we do the quality will still be way way above Celtic!
