    16th is my girlfriends birthday and then my parents come down that weekend. In other words, no ****ing chance this year. Would love that though, join all you bumpkins in getting pissed!

    Bazza is the atypical televison/internet era sports fan, watch sky sports news scroll some information about a player a across the screen and the next thing you know you've actually seen that player in action and are so qualified to comment on them. What the **** does he know? He's already admitted to me he's never seen Allen play so why ****ing make claims like this, the worst culprit is that twat Shwan on out board. ****, reads wiki and football manager and there you have it, hey presto, a ****ing expert.

    Joe Allen is worth 5 million, maximum. Typical Liverpool, throw money at someone and hope it makes talent stick. At least with Allen Rodgers has worked with him so has a good idea as to whether he can improve to that level but £15 million is way way over proceed. He's better than Jordan ****ing Henderson though.

    Nice. Wish I was off somewhere now the weather is good. Might take a week off towards the end of the school holidays.

    Tea out tonight though, stroll down Mumbles prom with the kiddies and dog and ice cream for them and food and wine for me and her. Tidy.

    You seen the bollocks thread recently? I seriously can't be ****ing arsed with it any more;

    and here's the reason why mate;

    For the sake of my sanity I can not mix with **** like that.

    Davidako is one of the biggest dickheads on this forum. Iwould say he winds me up but I actually think I pity him more than anything.

    Nob heads like him give all LFC a bad name with his delusion and conspiricys.

    As for some of the users on our board _ I think I've gave you my opinion before via PM without naming names <laugh>

    nice, do they still have joe's icecream down there? I really like it it's weird tasting though not too sweet and slightly salty. I miss the sea, penarth or the bay barrage is the nearest bit of the briney to me, and as much as i quite like them both they don't quite fill the need for me. LLantwit or Southern Down probably the nearest proper beaches for me, at least I can get me board out there.

    the banter thread has lost it at the moment maybe when the season starts the real banter will too well either that or when Mandy is sold for a fiver, a pint of mild and a clark's pie.

    What's rubbish?

    They do still have a Joe's but we shall be going to Verdis. As seen on channel 4 and promoted by gurning massive tongued goon Jamie 'mockney lad' Oliver on his last series.

    Cracking place it is too, licence to print money though and over priced but what do you do, eh? You just drink the ale and keep schtum old bean.

    I haven't been down the mumbles for years, last time I went any where near was an afternoon circular walk from Pennard inland through woodland then round to caswell and back along the cliffs. I keep saying it but i must get down there sooner than later.

    Jamie and his "full of attitude" food eh. :) must admit I have slightly warmed to his mockney ways, Stein is my favourite though followed by Fearnley-Whittingstall, Valentine Warner is all right too the rest can do one ..... except Blanc - he's a ledge <cool>

    I don't mind him at all, I'm just mesmerized by how he gets that tongue in his gob. He got pissed with a bloke I know who manages this place, master coffee maker by all acounts but I must say i've had better coffee than that place, not that it isn't very good. The ice cream is very, very good though and I can't make my mind up as to whether to have pizza or pasta washed down with a cold ale/vin blanc/cidre later on.

    The choices, eh? Not ten days ago I was there in full on winter mountaineering gear so it's nice to have that choice.

    enjoy it chops

    The sauv blanc sounds good, but then again the lure of the apple aroma can be too great. (at least cidre smells like it came from an apple compared to the chemicals in strongbow <grr> though if i have to i still would down the 'bow)

    have you watched jamie's 30min minute meals? I've tried/adapted a few not too shabby, perfect if you having peple round and you don't want to be stuck in kitchen all night but don't want crap food either .... perfect for the CL Knock out stages ........ or the europa one <whistle>

    The fact neither of you can come.. That is what's rubbish.. <ok>

    On the subject of celebrity chefs.. I don't mind a bit of Jamie, though he irritates me making out his recipes are easy when most of them aren't.. I'd like to punch rick stein can't stand the twat.. His restaurant is **** too.. His chippy is good mind.. Plus the locals in padstow hate him. His boutique hotel is nice though..

    I won't even start on Hugh fearnley I'm the biggest most pompous **** ever.. I'd like to burn his ****ty river cottage down with him in it.. Clearly having basted him I'm goose fat and sprinkled in some freshly foraged herbs no one cares about from the outer hebridies.

    There was a River Cottage cafe in Axminster, walked past a couple of times and was curious but didn't bother going in. Wish I had now really. Seemed wierd it was in Devon (just about) when he paps on about Dorset so much. It should have been in Dorset.

    Don't mind Hugh FW either, he gets a lot of credit for his ten bird roast, but Rick Stein is top drawer.
    What's he done to upset you mate? Sounds a bit personal, did he chuck you out of his restaurant or something?

    The above term offends me. Whoever thought it up should be taken to the tower of London and buggered before being hung, drawn and quartered. The tiresome twat.

    It's the Great Britain Olympic team, you ****ing moron.

    No didn't get thrown out. Just find him annoying.. Coupled with the fact I thought the food I'm the fish restaurant was overpriced ****e, the service was average. So that coupled with him writing books an making tv programmes about amazing food when he should train his ****ing staff better or do some work himself.

    As to Hugh I can't respect some pompous ****er who comes from money swanning around telling everyone how **** they are for buying frozen veg and non organic chickens.. **** him and **** his chickens and his foraged herbs the ****.. Would like to see him weigh up spending a meagre wage on organic bollocks to feed a family at the behest of a night on the ale

    Big tongue does that though, cracks on we should all be out there buying organic chickens and shunning cheap farmed ones. Try telling that to some mother who is on her arse, buy the chicken that cost six quid rather than the one pound 99 one. No chance. Well, I went for spaghetti vongole washed down with a peroni and a large glass of that there sauv blanc. It had cockles instead of clams though and so wasn't quite right. Wouldn't mind a repeat tonight, make the most of the sun while it lasts.
