Speaking of Skrtel his agent has been made aware of interest in his signature from City, Anzi, Fiorentina and one another team and City have made it known they will pay £100,000 per week which is what he would love from LFC in his upcoming contract discussions. It is not set in stone that he will still be at Liverpool come September 1st.

Shame that the good relationship between the two sets of fans has been soured by this nonsense. I've been one of Rodgers' biggest supporters as I felt we owed the guy so much but the way he's going after Allen leaves a very bad taste in the mouth. All very well to say that's the way of things but I don't believe that, I'm sorry. If you make an agreement - formal or otherwise - you stick to it if you want your integrity to count for something. He deliberately set out to scupper the Siggy deal but it backfired. I was prepared to cut him some slack on that as Siggy wasn't our player. But the Allen approach is beyond the pale and if I was a Liverpool fan I'd be uneasy about the way he's behaving. Sharp practice at best, downright dishonest at worst.
If Liverpool do come in for him, let`s hope Spurs, Arsenal or whoever are also in for him, and beat the `Pool to the line.

To all of you deliberately mis-spelling Skrtel... STOP THAT. We'll only buy a centre-back if Skrtel leaves (for a reported £20M)... and that's pretty 50/50 on being true. The replacements most heavily linked are Amorebieta (Athletic Bilbao) and Lescott... so relax! I'd be disappointed if we signed Williams, he's a decent player, had a good season... But we have Coates already, just play him in that case.
