I forgot about that. On the plus it could get another job in the city - dressing room cleaner? <vomit>
I do! The others see him as a spy in the dressing room. Their discussions will be inhibited and will be scared to say what they could normally.
Never actually looked at it that way. The only argument I'd have to counter-act that, would be that we seem to have a dressing room full of honest players that hopefully wouldn't see it right to think of it that way. But that is a good point. As for signing him, from what I've seen, he isn't as bad as what some people make out. He's reliable and would provide great cover should injuries and suspensions come to play.
I don't want to seem negative and I admire your optimism but who are these worse players? I have no bias against Bruce I just don't find it promising that even at TWS with one of the worst defences in the league he was a total failure, and he looked poor against Ferriby and Winterton. On top of that he's the manager's son and that never works. If we did sign him I'd give him a chance as Docko suggests, but on the face of it, what about this transfer (if it happened) could possible be positive?
He's reliably dreadful at marking people and winning headers. Makes the odd good interception, but his positional sense is non-existent, and he loses his bottle during the sort of dreary evening games where he's up against it. I.e. the times when you really need a reserve centre-back to perform. How much have you seen of him, because I suspect it's not too much to give you an accurate idea?
Enough to say that your taking a side against him because he's left you. I'd make player seem piss poor too if he was leaving us for TWS. He isn't 'Dreadful'. He isn't exactly first team material, going up against Chester and Hobbs, but as someone who can fill a void, useful.
But as it's likely to be Alex Bruce, I don't think I'll bother! (courtesy of Leeds Met Tiger!) please log in to view this image
Really hope it's not Bruce, but as I said on the other thread I'll give him a chance if it is. Hope it's a winger really.

It's not because he's left that I think he's an appalling footballer. Difference is that I don't care about Hull, so I don't really care either way how players do when they join you. People who've watched him regularly at Leeds, Leicester and Ipswich would overwhelmingly disagree with that. He's not even good back-up.
I don't really care if he's great, or he only has one leg, the fact is that a manager signing his son is a bloody stupid thing to do, it's asking for trouble and that's precisely why I understand our owners have rejected the deal.
I don't normally like owners getting involved in transfers but under these circumstances it seems to make sense.
I was told last week, he has signed a three year contract. Was as mad as hell thought the Allams had more sence.
I don't think it is Bruce, I thought we hadn't offered him a deal? Could be an unknown, somebody we haven't heard about. The Sone Aluko deal came out of the blue, might be somebody random!
David Batte ‏@hullcity_pfa Hearing Alex Bruce has signed for City. Mike White retweeting this gives it away for me.
Personally think it would be a bad move. Can't see how this will help dressing room harmony, having the manager's son sat in the corner.
