yeah, one weak retort deserves another , im guessing jokes about sheep are cutting edge up your way..
Bloody hell Mabon, you selling the girls cheep 10m a piece!!! The lads are 5m!!! Forgot the Tea lady's 2m!!!
You as a liverpool fan should know that buying other clubs best players gaurantees you nothing, how much did you spend last year, and where did you end up thats right playing second fiddle to everton, and miles behind man utd , and you came to the liberty and got beaten by a much better team. Bazray liverpool are living on past glories, and i am afraid brenda is not the man to bring you the good times,
never £5 million was a startring price, i am sure huw can negotiate some add ons, but £10 million each sounds about right to me.
Well isn't this all hunky dory! Love the fact that Huw has taken the gloves off, new this would happen, and so it should, Joe Allen made a fool of the Liverpool midfield last season, and I rate him enough to label him as one of our best players, so get in there Huw, and stuff the scousers!...............
Dragon earlier in the year i contributed on a thread about joe allen and i put him down for 5 million, it would appear that at the time of writing that piece the 2 was sticking on my keyboard, it should have read 25million instead of 5 million, just thought i would put the record straight for my fellow swans
Well I did say he'll go for a minimum of £10+ Million Mabon, and Norway thought it would be closer to 20 Million, so we shall see, but I hope we keep him. Have to say this season is like the muttonbrains of Derby all over again, under Paul Jewell! Get in there Huw....................
please log in to view this image ...........This didn't half make me laugh, someone remind him about Siggy, and Spurs!.................
I see we're being visited by some right bewts on here. Shame they can't act in a dignified manor like Rev and luvgonzo. Oh well never mind. It does seem as if the club are really annoyed about this but then again who wouldn't be annoyed with anyone breaking a written contract and leaking private and confidential information on an employees contract.
Liverpool's obsession with our club, our progressive style of football, our younger players speaks volumes about the decline of their club. Having dumped Benitez who had the tools to do the job, and having exhausted their decrepid line of legends to come in and save the day, they turn to Rogers ... whose blarney has them all believing that he is the sole architect of our style and system, that he accomplished this miracle on grass in two years. Clearly their academy is **** and the coaching and development of their younger players is not up to par, otherwise BR would be able to tap into their equivalent of Allen, Taylor, and Richards to turn the shipwreck around - but he can't, because they don't exist. Their biggest delusion is with the club and its supporters who think that somehow it's so easy to keep the ball for sequences of 25 to 30 passes and make other teams change their tactics to negate our style. This is something that has been built and developed over the course of several seasons not two, and certainly won't be easily accomplished if at all in one season by BR who is so desperate to deliver on his blarney that after realizing just how deep the hole is he has stepped into at Liverpool, that he's willing to compromise his personal integity and that of his club's to acquire our talent after committing in writing not to. HJ's statement is the statement I've been waiting for. It clearly makes a mockery of the spin and BS from the media outlets. It clearly defines the lines that exist, the respect and regard that the club (Swans) have for Allen and his unique accomplishment (with the rest of Team GB) of representing us at the olympics, and the lines that have been crossed by Liverpool and Rogers with this petty, pointless and self-serving distraction -- does Allen really need this to interfere with his olympic experience, nor want this crap sucking the "oxygen out of the room" when the media should be talking about his (and his team's aspirations and accomplishments) not whether Liverpool want him to make their midfield function in Rogers' system --- err, I mean the Swansea System.
They'll have to pull off a few armed robberies to raise 15 mill so the transfer defnitely won't take place until after the Olympics.
Top post yankee, i agree that rodgers had a change of mind when he saw what was on offer with the playing staff at liverpool, im sure he set out not to return so early but circumstances seem to have forced his hand IMO.
Its quarter past 2 on a sunny day in california.....well the match was a good workout for the lads but they were blown away in the first 15 minutes with a combination of poor defending and poor goalkeeping that i put down to playing above sea level and rusty......one thing is certain is the only striker who looked like scoring was leroy lita who was very good at getting into the right positions, we should have played him a lot more last season as he has pace and can take players on....moore was not bad but the rest i cant see them playing much when the season starts...Mr laudrup has to find a natural loan striker or we will struggle for goals.....there was a handful of jacks watching the match and we were given a warm welcome which was appreciated. the silence before the kick off was eerie as you could not hear a pin drop....we were greeted by the players before and after the match which was great as i knew most of them anyway, i see joe allen is joining liverpool as there is an active fee that has been triggered and joe wants to go anyway.(i told you all this 6 weeks ago when i first heard about it) nobody believed me so there you go.....another thing i have heard is sinclair has turned down swansea's offer and wants to move,,,,,but the most worrying is about ash, a bid has been received by the club that ash is aware of and its an offer that ash cannot dismiss and he is having talks with the board when he gets back to swansea........im not saying for one minute like i said about joe that he wanted to join liverpool. all I'm saying that a substantial bid is on jinks desk in regards to ash and the whisper is that its liverpool, so ill wait and see what happens with that but it wont surprise me.......well im off for a few pictures of bud now and will be setting off for salt lake tomorrow and hope we play a bit better with goals to show......
In fairness to you dai, you did call the Liverpool thing six weeks ago, not sure if i dismissed it but if i did then fair enough, you also said its not cast in stone and this appears to be where we are at now. Yoou should be doing a blog for not 606 while your over in USA, maybe a couple of quotes from the players even ?? I heard a little whisper that there is intrest in Ash, not sure if its true or not well done for being there first with this Dai ,but lets hope your wrong no disrespect ..
