....thing is being done behind closed doors I have a question for everyone.

With the increased amount of midfielders being linked with Liverpool, would you take Henderson back?

A straight forward yes or no will do or you could give reason why you would or wouldn't.

I would for less than £5 mil purely because if we were to get into europe, he would count as one of our home-grown players

100% sure we have enough anyway as the same rule governs the PL and Europe, 25 man squad, 8 have to be home grown (which doesnt mean English, just have to have been in a club in England for 3 years between the ages of 16 and 21) its a pitty Ji did not spend 1 more year with Reading, as he would have been home grown as well. It also doesnt include under 21 players either.

As for the ops question, why not, he did tend to fade but he played a hell of a lot of games, and the Emgland pressure must have got to him a but, I wouldnt pay £16mil for him though, 8 million max and even thats pushing it.

    No.

The fact remains that he does not get into games enough, lacks presence and his distribution is average as ****.

    We need better.

    Couldn't agree more.

He would have to come on by leaps and bounds, as at the moment Championship player at best.

He needs to grow a bigger pair as at the moment he even looks intimidated by his own players.

A big resounding NO from me. Scared to tackle, Ray Wilkinsesque in his passing and no sweat or a hair out of place when he comes off the pitch.

Shame cos as he's one of us. I would love him to come good, just cannot see it ever happening.

    No.

Larsson, Catts, Meyler are all better than him.

He's probably on par with Gardner and Vaughan (the two midfielders I wouldn't be bothered about seeing the back of)

    Forgot about little Ginge there!

Still don't think there's much between the two and don't think either will be able to move forward with us, if we do progress (europe)

I could be wrong, but im sure when he played for us a lot of Supporters were saying he was a right winger, the nutmeg and cross for gyans 1st goal against wigan comes to mind, but England played him in the middle.

Now by the looks of the comparisons, he is a CM after all.

he did score a few goals for us, he played very well in a few games i tend to recall, Livepool last year couldnt hit a barn door collectively, think they hit the post/bar 15 times or something daft like that so he was not the only one to struggle.

Meyler has had 22 games for us in 3 years, not sure how people can say he is better than Jordan

larson has a great set piece, but pace is seriously lacking, doesnt really beat a man either.

Cats is an enforcer, totally different position to Henderson

Colback is closest to CM but he cant play on the wing (or at least he hasnt played there a lot).

I would have him back, would prefer AJ but I would have him over Downing, and he is a lot better than Gardner and Vaughan if he does play in the middle.

Nowt wrong with the lad and I would take him back. Plays his game to order and comes back more mature for the experience with both Pool and England. He is still a rookie and MON could possibly get more out of him as a play to instructions performer.

No, he should make his claim at Liverpool or look for something new. Players should never go back....it hardly ever works. Unless anyone can think of someone who has had blinding success when returning to a club that sold them?

Haven't seen anything to make me want him back TBH. Neat player, but shown nothing special lately.
