Yet more pathetic governing of the game from FIFA's head buffoon. Bale has been injured recently, that's not up for debate, hence why he didn't start against Stevenage. How are FIFA to know he hasn't returned earlier than expected? Surely the Team GB Medical team would have assessed the situation?

And also how is Spurs pulling Bale out of the Olympics any different from Fergie disallowing some of his first team players from taking part in the first place.

FIFA, bow out now and let someone who can actually run the game take your place!

Fair enough. If the Great Britain FA complain, he can be banned.

Ryan Giggs missed 18 consecutive Welsh friendlies, from 1991 to 2000.
No comment to make then, Blatter?

    Sack this ****.

Which FA would have to complain then? The English FA are the only ones that wanted it and I can't see the others complaining but really it should be the Welsh FA, or the majority.

Maybe he can just retire from GB football? Works for Carrick.

As I said above, has to be a complaint from GB FA. None of the others will do.

  7. This really is a complete joke!
Bale was injured and when the selection process was finalised for the GBOlympic team he was determined to be unfit. In the interim he has recovered somewhat to enable him to start preseason training and play a few mins in a warm up game.
That is not the same thing as having trained hard for a few weeks in prep of a major tournament.

Blatter should follow the advice I gave to Gordon
    Taylor last night and STFU!!

However, in the interests of all parties you would hope that there would have been some call fro
Spurs to Team GB advising them of developments. As such it would be good for Stuart Pearce to have put this story to bed.

So we're all agreed that Mr Blatter has once again made himself look like an absolute plum?

So the people that employ him, who pay his wages, may not be allowed to use him as he was injured at the time of selection for a national tournament in which his own nation's FA stated they weren't happy for the use of their players partaking in...

Wow, FIFA yet again show why (and Blatter in particular) they really are a bunch of useless c*nts.

Can't see what there is to complain about. He was injured when they made the final pick and was dropped & replaced due to the injury. 3 weeks later he manages 70 minutes unlike all those English players that are too injured to play midweek for a England friendly but can manage a full 90 mins 3 days later for their club :emoticon-0112-wonde

If anything, nobody mentioning this in the first place - mainly as it invalidates any demand that Bale be banned.

Honestly, this isn't a reason to rant at FIFA/UEFA. It's a reason to rant at the enablers in the press that think we actually want the ****ing Olympics. Besides, how could they play Bale and Giggs in the same game?

He could be banned from friendlies. But its ok, we can just loan him to some lower division side who have a time machine so he can serve out his ban with them without putting us out

If anything, that sounds more like FIFA telling the journalist to **** off - given their inability to read between the lines, that punishment is anything but a punishment, and sounds more like Blatter having a laugh at the tabloids' expense.
