Listening to Tony Evans's webchat. He's saying that we need to move people out before we can progress with our transfer targets, and that we are spending £800k a month on Cole and Aqua's wages.
What sucks is it sounds like Cole will be the one staying not Aqua but I think it should be the other way round.
Tony Evans says that we're struggling to find buyers for Aqua and Cole, and we may consider loans again (which would be crazy!). He also believes Pacheco's time is coming to an end. I still think he is a good player and he did impress me against Toronto.
Furthermore, someone asked the question "Is it true that the board/Rodgers has no cash to spend until they get rid of Carroll?". Tony goes on to say that FSG are still picking up the pieces of the G&H/Purslow era, and that we are still paying huge wages to those who contribute nothing.
At the moment, we have Reina, Doni, Jones, Gulacsi & some of the younger keepers. (Ward, Belford etc.) Unless Doni & Jones leave, I don't see why we would have an interest. Does anyone know what's happening with Doni? Didn't go on the tour and i've not heard any injury news on him...
In other transfer news: Cazorla is looking for a dream move to Manchester City by agreeing terms with Arsenal.
Ah right. If he was to leave, then I think the goalkeeping position would be an area that Brendan might look to improve. We would then have Reina, Jones & Gulacsi. There are question marks over Jones & Gulacsi is still inexperienced. Though I do think Sky Sports have looked at De Vries, seen that he played for Rodgers at Swansea and linked him to us. We shall see.
I think we only need two experienced keepers i.e. Reina and 1 more. The rest should be youngsters. I can see Doni leaving and Brad Jones doesn't exactly fill me with confidence. I can imagine Doni being on pretty good wages.
