Strange that Sunderland have let him go, with wes Brown picking up a serious injury! Turner & Ayala will be the Norwich centre backs then

So there could be a couple of familiar faces in the Norwich team when they play us on the 7th.

The fact that MON is ready to let Turner go ahead of Kilgallon and Bramble should be ringing alarm bells with the Slumberland faithful. <steam> Then again MT is now into his final year and they will want a fee of somesort for him. Norwich is a strange choice IF it happens but it does get MT back closer to his southern roots. As for his wife ? thats the interesting one. Glad that MT will stay in the PL though and we can always go in for him next summer IF we reach the PL again. <ok>

I wonder if NP will now make a move for Ayala especially as Hughton is still chasing Curtis Davis from Birmingham as well. TWT as always.

Actually, we could have had him last season, but I think it was only a short term loan and it was conditional on him starting.

See if this what at the end of the season when Hobbs got injured; I'd understand if Sunderland were annoyed at us for not playing him.
However, if this was during the season, why should we have played him? For a fair whack of the season we had the best defence?

It was in February if I remember correctly and not wanting to break up the Chester/Hobbs partnership was precisely the reason Nick felt he couldn't take up the offer.

Yes very true. But it may have allowed NB to play 3 centre backs in some games.? Also,
At various points we had Rosie - Chester - Hobbs all out of action. Certainly by having Turner it would have made there absences less of an issue. But We shall never know now for sure.

i see MON going for yet another over paid African or East European cucumber picker at the expense of young English talent. All hail the Murdoch League and the further demise of English football

Because no players from other continents are overpaid?

What does that mean?!? At best half of that term is superfluous. I'll let you choose which half you want.
