Are you trying to get Brady back? The scary thing with us is that we're not even being linked with any wingers. We've got Dyer, Marshall and Gallagher. Vardy, Nugent and Schlupp can all play there but it's not their natural position and i'd hate to see them wasted out wide. A real good, fast left footed winger is just what we need.
I don't think we've got any interest in Brady, neither do I think Man United have any interest in him. He's all step-overs and no end product, he's entertaining to watch for a few games, then he starts getting really bloody annoying, his decision making is cack.
Brady in pre Season looked brilliant, then he just faded off. He was always I threat but as you say, his decision making could have been so much better. I can remember Josh King at Upton Park last game of the Season, tried passing instead of shooting himself...
So Ben Marshall without end product? No ta. Although the lad obviously shows potential. End product can come with experience.
Barmby wanted to bid for Mashall to replace Brady, but he wasn't given the cash(we'd probably have bid less than you anyway), I expect we'll bring in a least one more winger(possibly an Egyptian from Sunderland).
Just shows why our owners are better. They get their man in and back him the whole way Your clearly doesnt fully back their man
Using what you said before Barmby wanted to sell us Stewart and buy Marshall with the money and still have some change The Allams blocked the move because they didnt want to sell to us That worked out really well for you. Great backing that is
Stewart in January was on good form, but by the sounds of it, he trailed off near the end of the season, i think we have to thank the Allams tbh, as we got Marshall instead
Barmby didn't want to sell you Stewart, he wanted to bid for Marshall to play on the opposite wing to him, our other wingers were both loans and neither was setting the world alight(though King looked better than Stewart towards the end of the season). Our owners definitely didn't trust Nick to spend the money wisely enough, so they didn't give him any, Bruce is self evidently a very different situation.
Bet the owners would have had more of a say on transfers with Barmby, Bruce probably tells them to stay out of it.
In other news, looks as though Snodgrass is off to Norwich, and looking at the reaction on the Leeds board, hes become **** in the past 24 hours
At the time they did trust him but, as time went on, they started to realise they didn't so consequently they sacked him. I think most of the un trusting behaviour happend in the January Transfer Window
In all fairness, it's their own fault (The Allams). I for one was one of the fans who loved the idea of having a local hero in charge of the team, as it was someone who would actually want what's best for the Club and fans. The only problem is, they must have persuaded Barmby to retire from the game, when really they should have offered him a contract until the end of the year as player/manager. Now he has nothing to do with Hull City anymore and it's not right. That was just some examples of the Allams lack of football knowledge, but we'll have to cope with that for a couple of Seasons while they learn the traits of the game. They did save us from administration and have promised to back us well enough to get to the Premier League. That shows that they also have ambition and therefore I will back the whole way.
