    Norwich fan here

Do you guys believe it to be morally wrong that Rogers is bidding an amount which matches allens release clause according to SSN? Leaves Swansea no where to go and shows Rogers taking advantage of his previous employment. He's a bit of a rat hey.

Also what happened to the 12 month clause of signing none of your players?

Agree with the sentiments above..warra coont !

Looks like its now down to joe, which in itself is going to be a really hard for him. This is a situation designed by rodgers and it now makes perfect sense why sinclair hasnt signed his deal either.

The club Are taking a massive gamble with this, we dont need the money, joe is under contract, we could accept if he wanted to go but should give him move after/if we Are safe NeXT year. We need as much stability as posen le right now

Difficult one this. If there`s a release clause of £15 million for 5 clubs, but not for say Spurs and they bid £10 million, then jolly roger can come in with a bit more than that.

How much is he worth to us, at least the release ammount, nothing less. If Rodgers is trying to go for £13.5 million, forget it. A week ago I would have said that that would have been ok, but now after rodgers being sneaky I`d say feck off you snivelling feckless piece of crap.

Huw, turn your phone off & don`t accept anything less than £15 million, as in the clause.

Jolly Roger by name, Pirate by nature.

Look brenda will be unemployed by next may and we all know what happens to players when they leave the swans, so give us the £15 million and have a nice day, If there is any truth in this Allen must be keen to link up with brenda otherwise brenda would not pursue it.

Joe must be mixed up possibly??!! He knows Rodgers (Liverpool) wants him, but does he really know how the club feels?? Everyone's got a price??
In his case, that's not for me, he's worth more than any of John Henry's cash!!!
Trouble is, as we've got a new manager who's not been 'immersed' in Joe's talent. He'll just think what he can do with £15M!! While some of us Jacks see it as, wait a minute, it's 'our' Joe Allen we're talking about!!!!
It depends on how Hugh & the board fight to keep him, all fellow Jacks, knowing that 'Joe Allen' is Swansea City!!!!
If indeed, that's how they think??!! Surely we don't need the cash...

As I wrote a week or so ago. Think of all the aspirations of possible local young future 'Joe Allens' for Swansea City. Are Swansea City going to see more of a possibility of these young local lads coming through aspiring to be the same, if he's still at the club or if he's gone. Not the be-all of course, just a thought....

For me the bottom line is if Joe wants out then ta ta and give us the dosh. Talented he may be but the money is daft imo and we could get three or four players in from the continent equally as talented for that money. They are out there and Spanish clubs in particular are in a right mess. Shame to lose a home grown Welsh player though.

If the story is true then Rodgers has shown his true colours and the world will know that his word - and that of the club he represents - means nothing at all. But for me it's down to the player and as a fan I only want people to play for us who want to be here. "Fight to keep him"? Why would we do that? Nah. If he wants to go let him, but there's a price and it should be up front so we can put it to use asap.

Repeatedly being reported on Talk Sport all morning and a big article in The Sun. Huw should wring every penny out of Rodgers if Joe has to go. As for Rodgers, what a double dealing snake in the grass he's proving to be, imo. I really hope that he is a total failure at Liverpool but we were warned by Watford fans, were we not?

Joe leaving pre season could really disrupt us early doors when we will looking to take advantage of the "easier" fixtures in our calendar to get us off to a good start. Even with a couple of quality players, which the transfer fee could buy, we might still struggle whilst these players are developing an understanding with the rest of the team and getting used to the environment of the PL. They will not come in and start performing like world beaters from the get go and, by the time they get up to speed, we could be chasing the pack which is a kiss of death in the Premier League.

I would be far happier with a compromise of Joe going at the end of the year. Hopefully, by then we will be well on the way to Premiership survival and the disruption would be minimised as the new players should have settled in and got to grips with things. Let's hope that another team comes in for Joe and pushes the bidding up. Better yet, it would be great if another team outbid Rodgers a la Siggy. What a slap in the face that would be!!

i think you all have every right to feel monumentally ****ed off by all this.

but at least you are being handsomely paid for his services and you were for rodgers too, around the £20m mark.

we still haven't been paid for lambert!

They did indeed (Watford) talk of his spin. He dropped them too, afterall...

Exactly the thoughts I'd remembered they said Ivor!! My points below, concur with yours...

Of course, if he wants to go. We should relunctantly let him go with our blessing, but screw the living daylights out of any club that wants to take him. Hopefully Hugh will have his 'no messing' head on!!

There are undoubtably, fine players out there that Laudrup could spend the money wisely on. But Joe knows 'our game' & for me can only get better under Laudrup!!

We need to hit the ground running this season, so don't want too much upheaval...

    Three things

    1) This is goal.com. It is not the rectum of football journalism. It is the filth infested, stinking drain that all the poor football journalism of the world collects in. It is the lowest of lows.
    2) The agreement - if this is true, then Allen has been made available, has asked to talk to LFC or perhaps has been in talks for a long time (we've never considered that).
    3) No player is bigger than the club! You'll move on.

He'll be eating his words this morning <whistle>

Seriously though, it's goal.com. They're TERRIBLE, especially it seems about LFC.

They had an 'exclusive' two months ago saying Skrtel was set to leave.

A day later, Skrtel himself said no rumours were true.

    They removed the 'exclusive' story.

Really? This what you think will happen? Calm down, man.

I realise its disappointing losing Joe, but he was always touted as being able to go to a bigger/better club. There are debates between certain clubs as to who are bigger, but Swansea/Liverpool is not one of them.

I'm gonna wish him well and I feel a mild irritation that Brendan has used inside info to trigger the release clause.

Apart from that, WTF?! Relegated? On the back of one sale? We've signed three players and (according to reports) are looking at another two.

Lets just hold on a sec and see.
