It sends out the message we are not going for promotion I would expect Ross to go as well probably get £4m for the pair
i know its a big if, what with ken still there, but if we pay £3m, warnock could do wonders with that cash. i genuinely think leeds will come out of this a stronger team IF (that little word again) it gets reinvested.
Guess as a few suspected the recent signings do not so far reflect an ambitious enough club - One step forward two steps back, if McCormack does go next as I suspect he will do in a player park ex we will have lost the three best players from last season while shifting not one of those actually transfer listed. Clayton, Snoddy, McCormack? - nearly 30% of the outfield players and easily the three best we had
To be fair I think your right as long as its reinvested in players then we will still be strong enough to fight for promotion, I think snoddy just wants prem football so I cant blame him, although if he had signed a new contract he would have been made into a cult figure by the fans.
Whoever is on the longest contract and see if we can actually hold on to a captain for more than a season
Good. Prefer certainty rather than the Gradel situation we had last year. Plenty of time to reinvest, and we have shown intent to do that so far. No problem with McCormack going either as I think we have very good alternative backup in Gray and Varney, plus there are other opportunities out there. Let's get the ball rolloing and look forward, rather than back
I don't think Snoddy leaving will be the end of the world and I have said all along get shot of the lot for all I care, they only finished 14th. However when I said get shot of the lot I did mean replace them with better quality - Those we have brought in so far are debatable no matter how you look at it and no matter how I try and look at it positively you cannot compare either Gray or Varney to McCormack.
To be honest Colin will bring in more quality, and he is doing it the right way starting from the back just like wilko did if we bring in peltier, and a couple more quality signings then we are looking good, Maynard has been mentioned I for one would take him cracking player at this level.
You should be more worried about this imaginary takeover than us taking the piss mate - one will definately happen and one won't
Ignoring all the speculation and sticking to the facts, Bates is still in charge, Warnock has been given peanuts to spend on players, Clayton and now Snodgrass are leaving. We've signed half the Portsmouth team, but NOT the good half - they are still there because no-one else can afford their wages. Gray and Varney are abject signings. If Bates doesn't leave within the next couple of days where do you think the Snodgrass money is going to go? F*cking Monaco of course, like all the rest of it.
I agree we have to trust Warnocks decisions IF WE BRING in some quality yes it will all turn around, for the record I don't rate Maynard over McCormack.
