It soon changed to getting absolutely lashed with my old man at Selhurst Park and watching us destroy Palace with some bitch behind me trying to mount me in the midst of the celebrations... Good times. Shame you didn't come mate.

Hmm the same day the PFA said it had made a deal with the Prem league. Saying they could use some of the parachute payements, to pay back the players. But Chanrai vetoed the deal. Wonder why?.

Actually Dan, as you probably well know, Portsea Island is aptly named, as it is already not part of the mainland. The only connections are bridges.

While we're at it, could we tow the UK about 700 miles south..? It might guarantee a decent three month summer, instead of this excuse that we're going to be soooo grateful of. ;)

They could just stay here with the Orkneys, Shetlands, Inner and Outer Hebrides, Isle of Man, Lundy, Isle of Sheppey, Grain, Thanet, Oxney, Bloody Rockall..! You name it - I'm sure they'll be happy staying here.

    #savepompey is trending on Twitter.

Swear some people just do not understand what has happened and how seriously embarrassing the club is...

Please note that in my earlier post I apparently mistakenly forgot to include the Isle of Wight and the Scilly Isles. This wasn't a mistake. I actually love both Island sets, and want them to be towed south with the mainland to enjoy the fruits of a stable and consistent summer.

Presumably, the blue few section of the IOW will swim for it to Portsea.

That is no more than a matter of opinion.

"I'm entitled to an opinion" is often used in debates as a defence of a belief or stance on a subject. Whether it's used to end a debate (1) or to add weight to a person's position (2) it is equally useless as a debating tactic. Debates can only be resolved by presenting sound arguments with supporting evidence. Stating one's rights and entitlements adds nothing to the debating process. Having a right to an opinion does not make that opinion right.

Embarrassing to whom? Agreed it is not the glamorous of conversations talking about Pompey's plight.......or what has been allowed to happen. I cannot take any delight in their problems....nor do I feel embarrassment for them. They are just a football club down the road who are having problems. I cannot grasp why some of you are dancing up and down with glee. That is the embarrassment to me how a minority of our fans are taking such great delight in what is happening. Oh and don't give me that crap about the fact that they rubbed our noses in it during our troubles.......You did not like it did you and complained bitterly yet now you do exactly the same. You are no better......for goodness sake give it a rest...what will be will be with them. As I say I cannot take any delight in any football clubs demise

A little story to cheer up our depressed Pompey friends (if I have any).

    THE ITALIAN WEDDING TEST

I was a very happy man.
My wonderful girlfriend and I had been dating for over a year.
So we decided to get married.

There was only one little thing bothering me..
It was her beautiful younger sister, Sofia.

My prospective sister-in-law was twenty-two, wore very tight miniskirts, and generally was Bra-less.

She would regularly bend down when she was near me.
I always got more than a nice view.

    It had to be deliberate.
She never did it around anyone else.

One day she called me and asked me to come over.
'To check my Sister's wedding- invitations' she said.

She was alone when I arrived.
She whispered to me that she had feelings and desires for me.
    She couldn't overcome them anymore.

She told me that she wanted me just once before I got married.
She said "Before you commit your life to my sister".

Well, I was in total shock, and I couldn't say a word.
She said, "I'm going upstairs to my bedroom" she said.
"If you want one last wild fling, just come up and have me".

I was stunned and frozen in shock as I watched her go up the stairs.

I stood there for a moment..
Then turned and made a bee-line straight to the front door.
I opened the door, and headed straight towards my car.

Lord And behold, my entire future family was standing outside, all clapping!

With tears in his eyes, my father-in-law hugged me.
He said, 'Sergio, we are very happy that you have passed our little test. We couldn't ask for a better man for our daughter. Welcome to the family my son.'

And the moral of this story is:

Always keep your condoms in your car.

Birch said on Solent "It seems quite unbelievable that at one level football is vibrant but lower down club's are over extending themselves to reach the promised land. It's unsustainable"

Sibley is on the wind-up on Twitter:

"Woke up this morning to an e-mail from a Pompey fan, asked if we could buy Kanu and Ben Haim for £10million to help them out?!"
