Shearer's Bar to be closed!!

The bar isn't losing us money, it's obviously burning a small whole in Ashleys pocket, and is always packed full, even on non match days.

Ashley just doesn't want to spend his own cash on it because him and Shearer dont get on

 

He won't be honoured in another way, that's the point! The bloke is a **** and is getting his revenge!

 

Well if it isn't losing money, like you say, surely on yours and most the ashley haters theory of him bleeding the club dry, he would keep it open and keep the money??

 

To be fair went in one Friday afternoon 2 and half years ago and in the hour I was there, was the only customer there.

 

One bar isn't losing us a significant amount of money. It packs out all the time. Ashley doesn't want to spend his own money on the bar, as he thinks that the only persons opinion and feelings that matter are his own.

It means alot to Shearer and hundreds of thousands of geordies, but just because it means **** all to one man, it'll get taken down or renamed.

If it just gets renamed then it's an even more of a disgrace.

 

I agree that if it gets renamed it is a disgrace, but if it is shutdown completely there will be a business case for it. Like i said before, if it is making money it will remain, if it is losing money it wont.

Apart from matchday's it is dead, exception is the odd deadbeat (you know, the ones sky interview.)

 

And what Business case do you see that being? I will give you one guess and one clue, initials...SD

 

I would rather there be Sex Dungeons than a pub every day of the week.

 

I've read that it's getting refurbished, which implies it'll still be some form of food/drink place, but will lose the Shearer name. Bet Shambias is behind this.

 

Just seems petty as **** if the name is changed like. What's the point? They know that toon fans will hate it. I have to say at this point I'll be surprised if it's true.

 

The only name change I'd accept is to Sir Bobby's.

Can't understand why Ashley continues to want to make us ****ing hate him. This is disgraceful why the **** can he not just try everything in his power to gain our respect instead of continuing as public enemy number 1. I don't get pleasure out of having animosity towards the owner of my club but he leaves me no choice. Fat ****!!

 

It's definitely the pub Tino was on about buying and naming after himself
