He'll be heading back to Brazil I suppose. Lovely player, peaked early and should never have moved to Madrid, the graveyard of many good footballers.
As mentioned above; Wages Plus injuries have taken their toll, while Dempsey is rarely injured. If we can get Dempsey for say 8m it will be a good buy. He has improved year on year and is very versatile. I think that Hendo, Lucas, Gerrard Boroni, Suarez, Dempsey Would be a very good front line.
neither. Dempsey isn't worth that much and Kaka has been playing on reputation for last few seasons. As has been said before, let them age on somebodyelses pitch
Kaka scored a lovely goal in the CL though...
Or, based on a three year contract: Dempsey = £25.6m (based on £100k per week, I would expect it to be less) Kaka = £32.9m (based on £160k per week, I would expect it to be more)
Did I mention anything about wages? I think not....it was a simple, if hypothetical question which you (and others) over-analysed. Based on your simple exercise, presumably you'd turn down Ronaldo or Messi if they were available at the same price?
I would have Dempsey out of them two. Kaka is lazy and over rated and would prob spend more time rolling on the ground than anything else, he was a great player for Milan but that was years ago.
No, I'd turn down Ronaldo because he's a ****! But fair enough, I'll play your game. Hypothetically, I'd rather not have either Dempsey
It's hardly over-analysing. After all, wages are a big part of signing a player. Messi and Ronaldo are far better than Kaka at the present time, so that's a different question entirely.
Doesn't Dempsey only have a year on his contract? I'd have thought he'd be closer to £5mill. Anyway, he had a very good past season or so and would be a very useful addition, I'd have thought. Why don't you guys want him?
Can only speak for myself but while I think he'd a decent player, he's not 'great' and at 29, is not likely to be. I actually wouldn't risk Kaka either because he's got dodgy knees....I'd of had Gylfi though - hope he doesn't come back to haunt us!
I know it was just one game, but he was woeful last night. A nice assist early on but after that just shocking, couldn't keep hold of the ball! I have no clue what to think of these Allen and Dempsey rumors now, especially Dempsey as it is just dragging along.
On form- Dempsey, on ability - Kaka - given the wages he would want though I'd plump for the 'ghost'. Ronaldo didn't seem particularly happy after Kaka's goal in the vid above.
