LG, the modern man. Your phone wouldn't happen to be an LG would it LG? Also, Klopp does this same exercise at Dortmund, play 11x11 on a half-size pitch to speed up the thought process, looking for those little gaps, quickly moving the ball around and ( not as much in the video but should have been more) shots on goal, chances to finish. Then you get to the bigger size and it feels you have much more time and space but you are still playing quickly. It will take a bit of time for this. Aqua again looked smooth and I think gave the ball away maybe once.
I've used the small pitch in training, the lads I trained hated it but like you say it sharpens the brain when you move to a bigger pitch and players tend to move the ball around at the same pace as on the small pitch.
Shelvey always looks like he is playing in the park with his mates anyway . He really has gotten bigger looks huge compared to most. It was hectic but that's what it's for as others have said. Lots of pressing too which may have been the main objective. Any thoughts on team for tomorrow night. Will most of the first teamers play a half?
I'm pretty sure NI Revolution was talking about you in his post Old moody bastard, stop bringing the forum down with your negativity!!
I believe the other point of this training exercise is about pressing teams high up the pitch. Or in there own half even. That session was in one half I think. If it gets them in that mindset it can only be good, the players will be comfortable pressing high up the pitch, and hopefully comfortable with the ball under pressure. This may explain why I didn't see Carragher in that clip!
Watching that game was like watching my 10 year old play fifa after i've changed his controls while he's gone off to the toilet (it's a cheap way to win but victory is victory). It was horrific! Hopefully just before the season another one of these videos will be released and we'll be a lot more polished. Brendan Rodgers has a job and a half on his hands
