I've been revisiting Voyager over the last couple of weeks (got it all downloaded along with other favourite bygone shows) DS9 was better but Battlestar was the best of the lot - even though they ****ed up the ending
Still not watched the end of Battlestar. I loved TNG, Voyager was good but I missed the last 3 seasons of DS9 which were supposed to be the best ones. Enterprise was cack. imho the best Sci Fi TV series was Firefly which was cruelly cancelled, absolutely superb.
If you watched most of Battlestar you really should see the end - there was some great special effects and the ending was okay, there was just a lot that was implausible. I only liked some of TNG, Voyager was good but I fell away from it after the first season and missed a lot of seasons 2-3 (then the borg made it interesting). So there are a few eps I haven't seen and others I can't be sure of even watching them. I've got DS9 on DVD box set, was going through crazy moments and spending money on amazon needlessly. You are right, though, the last 3 seasons were the best. I never watched Firefly, might dl it though I need to wait until I've paid for a new kitchen before I get a laptop and get broadband installed (she kept the computer when I left). I take it you didn't bother with Caprica, the Battlestar prequel? It got axed after one season but they announced it before they had produced the last 10 eps and forced them to turn what was a slow story into something that ended up quite good. There's even talk of a new show about the first cylon war (after Caprica but before Battlestar).
I have Caprica somewhere, just never got around to watching. One worth a catch up is Babylon 5, brilliant. Definitely check out Firefly, best script i've ever heard in a Sci Fi show, and a great story arc which was cut short when it promised so much more.
I'll keep that in mind when I'm voraciously trying to fill up a couple of 1TB external hard drives I haven't used yet
