Moderic's fine has influenced our owners to take action. Stewart Downing is to be fined one year's wages for not turning up last season.
Fair comment, DL. However, as has been pointed out, Modric's real anger should be aimed at his numpty of an agent. Nobody forced the player, or his agent to agree to the terms of his current contract, and if his agent wasn't sharp enough to insist on a release clause, then Luka should find himself a brighter slime bag to act for him. Whoever, is advising him currently, clearly isn't too bright!..
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...grovels-to-Tottenham-for-going-on-strike.html It would not surprise me if Levy had every intention of seeing Modric at WHL lane anyway. I've listened to that twat Custis on Sky prattling on about every aspect, but neglecting the fact Luka has 4yrs on his contract left still!! Most players only sign 3/4 yr deals, why sign for 6 only to try and **** off after one, then two, same next year is it??!! ps. That is one ****e contract Luka's agent got for him! pps. While watching Sky i listened to the AVB interview and it showed the team training in LA in the background, see if you can spot Bale's goal...
Notso- the article said he went to Spurs HQ to apologise then flew out to the US for the tour- who Modric? Levy is already there!
If Modric wants to go to Real M then the solution is simple as the club has agreed he is for sale. 1) put in a transfer request 2) issue a statement about how he would love to go to play for Real but understand that Spurs need do the best for their club so until Real meet spurs valuation then he is going to give his all for spurs. The truth is he and real are doing what's right for them and spurs are defending our corner. If they want him then they should pay the asking price. If they think they can negotiate then do it sensibly. If they don't think he's worth it or that the spurs are being unrealistic then don't pay it and move on. As for Modric and his tantrums ... fine him 2 weeks wages for every individual rule break. 2 weeks for not training 2 weeks for not being on the plane to USA 2 weeks for for every day he is not in USA He chose to sign a £40,000 per week contract plus image rights plus bonuses etc. 2 years ago. It was a 6 year contract. If he wants to leave 12 months later and again 2 years later then either persuade a club to pay the asking price or help make up the difference by buying out art of your own contract. As for him needing champions league football (this is constantly stated in the press) maybe if he'd not disappeared for 9 matches towards the end of last season he'd have got that at spurs. The short answer is Modric is the latest (and won't be the last) in a long list of ego centric twatt footballers who have no idea how to behave with a bit of dignity or decency.
See, in the 70s, that kind of gag would have been funny, when the likes of Ken Goodwin and Jimmy Tarbuck were doing the circuit. But humour has changed since then, and Scouse humour has long since been on the wane. Sorry.
You could be part Mouser? Here's a quick test to find out if there's a part of you that is Mouser. It'll take less than 5 minutes:- Did you find Bread even mildly amusing? In Bread, in the scenes that portrayed Joey going to the dole office to scrounge yet more money off the State, did you find yourself not so much laughing as taking notes? Do you find yourself watching Top Gear to study the hubcaps? Did Cilla Black form part of your earliest recorded masturbatory fantasies? Are you stirred to tears when you hear Max Boyce singing "Walk On"? When they play old clips of Gerry and the Pacemakers songs on re-runs of Blue Peter, do you find yourself trying to mimic the dance without a sense of irony? Are you interested by Jimmy Tarbuck's golfing stories? Do you get an erection when you see Liza Tarbuck? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then either (a) you are part Scouse, or (b) you have Scouse syndrome. Either way, it would explain the alarming fact that you found Zingy's "joke" funny. The bad news is, however, that there is no cure for it.
now play nicely HIAG! I'm sure I read on the thread about Ledley's retirement a contribution from you saying you'd be pleasant to to the scousers as they were kind about ledley's career ending...I'd hate to think tht this is you being pleasant
Personally I've always found north London humour the funniest, the spud fans annual "we're gonna win the league" gag always has me in stitches.
West Ham's yo-yo impression has amused us for decades, Miggins. Your plastic castle and archaic hoofball tactics are nearly as funny, too.
I really feel for Modric. He must feel like he is being held hostage by the Spuds and the Spuds look like desperate fools trying to hold onto a player who has made it clear he wants out, maybe he just got sick of listening to all that wannabe cockney hardman rhyming slang that some idiot Spud fans use.
