The press are just guessing, as usual. The hold up could be about anything, from prices to wage negotiations to player swaps and that's just from their own speculation. I'd like to get it sorted soon though, as we need to prepare for the season properly this time. I'd rather not be playing catch up again, though the postponement of the Everton game was unavoidable and probably helped us, in all honesty.
Oh, I'm not saying we've done the right thing, our recent dealings have largely been awful. Think Henderson has been unfairly treated by the media but Downing I can't stand, really. Still think £30M or so is a fair price that would allow you to reinvest in proven quality.
We can't afford the fees for two players we really need, Ade and Loris, the rest is just pissing in the wind as far as I'm concerned. Yes we'll get a Europa League place the season after next, that's it as long as ENIC continue in 'sensible mode'.
If the report is right that he has been fined, he's not likely to be invited to go to with the 1st team is he? (They probably don't want him now anyway). The right thing for the club is to make an example of him that 1 player is not bigger than the club and will not be dictated to.
Well then he's an absolute 'see you next tuesday'. I could understand it if a deal was really close to happening but it's not and we should absolutely make an example of him now.

None of them can do the job he can to the level he does. We could have 100 centre midfielders but if all of them are not as good as 1 then it's a massive loss. If we sell Ratboy then we need to buy a replacement not promote anyone we already have.
Just seen this. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/tottenham-transfer-news-jermaine-jenas-1156340
Fair enough KH, that's your opinion, I completely disagree. We don't need to replace Modric, we need two strikers and a keeper. We don't need someone to do the job Luka does, we need a winning team.
Ade, Lloris and Levy all in New York at the same time and Spurs trying to promote themselves in the US. Coincidence?
Looks like Tim Cahill's joining the New York Red Bulls in time for our friendly, which should allow Everton to complete the £5m deal for Pienaar.
I'm really surprised they got rid of Cahill, especially to america. I think he still has a lot to offer
How do you know they are out there? Would be so happy to have these two signed! Just Joao + 1 new striker and we are set!
I don't think he did much last season, to be honest. Played a lot, but had little impact. I think Moyes is planning on linking up Naismith with Jelavic, as Rangers did. Everton's squad is looking quite anemic, though.
Adebayor was at a Red Bulls game the other day, Levy's in America because his wife's ill and Lyon have a game against a Canadian side. Not sure why that means Lloris would be in New York, though.
